This game is getting out of hand. OSU looks just terrible. Why don't they play this crappy when they play Michigan? :x

That's a terrible spot, and how do the refs not even check to see if it's a first down? Bad officiating.

Guess OSU decided to watch this game instead of actually playing in it. Florida is manhandling them so far.

I'm so tired of Lloyd Carr's bullheaded crap. The run is not working. How about trying something else for once? Is it really that big a surprise that Michigan isn't being successful when they're only calling about 5 different plays? Stupid Michigan. As a long-time Mich fan, I heartily agree. Also, you can't expect the defense to hold up all day against an offense as talanted as USC's when you do nothing to help them. BTW, Musberger is so far up USC's a** he can barely see the field. What good thing could he possibly say about Michigan's play today? Not the point - he is waxing poetic about all things USC. And BTW, Mich's D has not been as bad you have asserted. They have been on the field against a very good offense far too long. And it's really only been Morgan Trent who's been bad for Michigan's defense. All the big plays have been against him. It's like Booty is looking for #14 on the field and just throwing to whatever receiver he is covering.

  9. I see the Bears have decided to pack it in until their playoff game.
  10. In other words, a typical Cubs acquisition. Maybe a change in scenery and coaches would do him some good? fountain of youth might help too.
  11. He's old, has a bad back, and hasn't been very good the past couple of years. Stay far away Jim.
  12. Agreed. There's no way the Cubs should retire Maddux's jersey. Also, Sammy was great as a Cub, but he'll always have that steroids stigma around him, so I doubt the Cubs would ever think about retiring his number either.
  13. I hate that Hendry even mentions Pagan while talking about the starting outfield. He's not serious, is he? And who cares if Pagan is a switch hitter. It's not like he's an outstanding hitter from either side of the plate.
  14. Rotoworld: That's a whole lot of cash. I think it's smart for him to take it now. There's no way to know what the market will be like next year, especially with some other really good CF's on the market.
  15. Got this link off of SOSH. Apparently, it's the flight with the Red Sox and Matsuzaka. How freaky is it that you can get this type of information? http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N611JW
  16. Rotoworld: That's a pretty big gap considering Matsuzaka needs to be signed today so the Red Sox can get him back to Boston to get a physical before tommorow's deadline. I was on the Red Sox side before, but if that's their offer, then they are definitely lowballing Matsuzaka. 6 years and $66 million sounds about right for Matsuzaka.
  17. Can you trade for a guy who was just tendered? Wilkerson might be available on the relative cheap. Would you do one of Marshall / Marmol / Mateo straight-up for Wilk? Wilkerson is a FA now. He can be signed by any team. You don't have to trade to get him now. Hopefully Hendry is looking into signing him. If he's healthy coming off of shoulder surgery, he could be a great addition to this team. Tendered means he's not a FA. Players that were non-tendered are FA's......right? Oops. Guess I should have read the quote better. Thought he said non-tendered. Yes, tendered means they gave him a contract, so he's not a FA. We would have to trade for him.

  19. Pagan's name shouldn't even be mentioned as a possibility for CF. He's 25th man on this roster at best.
  20. so is blanton and harden and probably everyone else on the team Too bad we don't have anything Beane would want. I'd love to have Haren, Harden or Blanton on the Cubs.
  21. The Red Sox paid so they would have exclusive negotiating rights. Combining that with his lack of MLB service time, and there's no reason why he should make 10-12 million per year. Look at Ichiro for an example in the posting system, or any other pre-free agency player's contract. Why should the Red Sox pay market value when they already paid to exclusively negotiate? Exactly. Matsuzaka isn't a FA, so he shouldn't expect to get the same type of deal he would if he were a FA. The Red Sox dished out a boat load of money to get the exclusive rights. They shouldn't have to pay top dollar on top of that. IF Matsuzaka wants top dollar he should just wait 2 years and then become a FA. Did you change your name? Yeah. I was tired of WilliSC48. I asked Tim and he hooked me up.
  22. Wow. That's way too much for Jennings, especially since he's a free agent next year. Terrible deal for the Astros.
