  1. Pittsburgh Buffalo Arizona Tampa Bay New York Jets Chicago Green Bay Baltimore Detroit Cleveland Dallas Denver San Diego Houston Philadelphia New York Giants SD over NE is my upset pick. :pig:
  2. Gould won't be bad at all. My leagues do bonus points for 40+ yd field goals, and he'll definitely be good for those. I feel like Clark may be the better option since he's not splitting TE duties with another starter-caliber TE, but I don't think you can really make a bad choice with those two all season.
  3. Anti-Bears homerism is just as useless as pro-bears homerism. The credit behind starting Schaub isn't so much "Bears got lucky again," but the Texans led big early, so the passing game was done at halftime. Had the necessity been there, Schaub very well could have been much bigger. If Henne can throw for 416 against the Pats D, then I'm sure Schaub is going to need to do a lot to keep up. In fact... I might be changing my own mind here.
  4. Devery Henderson is available in both my leagues. I'm 12th of 14 in one league, and I'm really hoping that there are 11 people who don't think to check the waiver wire. I'd love to pull off dropping Eddie Royal and picking him up. Trying to swap out Austin Collie for him in the other league. Also hoping to drop Daniel Thomas and Ryan Grant to add Tomlinson and Darren Sproles.
  5. TT - not Rice. I'm leaning Henderson, just because I think Brees is more likely to put up big numbers against a top defense than Ryan is. tfarks - Steve Smith, definitely.
  6. Both defenses showed they can be picked apart by an elite quarterback. Atlanta was supposed to have a very solid defense, and Cutler did fine putting up points against them. I don't know what Indianapolis's defense was projected to be like before the season, but Schaub put up relatively weak numbers, despite the Texans routing them. I don't think I'm being a homer in saying that Cutler is the safer pick.
  7. Henne is the third quarterback this weekend to break 400 yards in a losing effort.
  8. Janikowski just tied the NFL record with a 63-yd field goal.
  9. Castro SS Johnson RF Ramirez 3B Baker 1B Soriano LF Byrd CF Soto C Barney 2B Lopez P Definitely not a fan of stacking the lineup against LHP. I hate it even more in mathematically lame duck baseball. Reds are nowhere close to competing, so it's not an integrity-of-the-race issue either. I'd rather see every lefty bat Quade can find. Start Hill at catcher and make him bat lefty too.
  10. I think the importance of "21 games back with 16 to play" trumps anything involving Rodrigo Lopez. Last night during halftime, I switched to the Cubs game for a couple of minutes. I doubt I'll bother tonight.
  11. Grant didn't get a whole lot of chances in the first place, and when he did, it's not like he did a whole lot with them. Unless Grant has a breakout game, I think Starks will be the default recipient of the majority of opportunities.
  12. Heh, I have the same 2 QB's. After seeing Fitzpatrick put up 4 TD's against the KC defense, Stafford is a must start in my opinion. Heck, I'm at the point that Stafford is probably a must start every week until he gets hurt. Stafford's health is his only potential obstacle, plus Chiefs' starting safety tore his ACL and is done for the year. Without Foster, Schaub only put up 8 points.
  13. Dez looks like the safest choice. Starks is worth consideration too. I'd probably take him over Bryant.
  14. Insert 600 lines of stats/random facts here. Go CUBS !!!

  16. Stafford, Meachem
  17. Awful. That could have been an amazing upset.
  18. I can't disagree. The offense has had enough trouble, might as well push while you have the ball. SUCCESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
  19. Good start to the Toledo drive. This is well within reach of awesome.
  20. Stafford.
  21. Pleased with my decision to sit Ryan Grant in favor of Shonn Greene. Odds are looking good that Greene will out-produce.
  22. I'm glad you surprised yourself, Aaron Rodgers, at how awesome you found yourself to be in that moment. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that, though I don't think Rodgers was doing it to be arrogant. I thought he was being arrogant when I heard that, only because I didn't know he was being criticized for not organizing his own off-season workouts. Knowing the context, good on him. The criticism is stupid, and his performance last season made it clear that he probably knows very well what he needs to do to continue to be good at his job.
  23. It wouldn't be about creating a rivalry, it would be about geographic proximity to a population of people with motivation to spend money on tickets. The rivalry may grow if both teams are competitive for a length of time, but that would be many years down the road. I feel like the Cubs-Brewers comparison would fit better than Cubs-Cardinals. The rivalry is unremarkable. Relative success of the two teams and geography are still the driving factors of the visiting team's fan turnout.
