For what it's worth in regard to the whole Pujols-Fielder discussion: In the PTI interview, one of the questions was asking what Theo thought as an outsider looking at the Cubs in the 2011 season. One of the first things he said was the absence of a core of elite talent. (It might have been THE first thing he said, I don't remember.) He compared it to having guys like Manny and Ortiz mashing for the Sox in their prime. He also repeated the part of the press conference where he talked about building a winner "the right way," and making sure that any success they see isn't followed by years of obscurity and that the success is maintained and long-term. As far as indications on whether or not he'll make a run at Fiel-jols, it's pretty mixed, but it definitely gives me confidence in the reasoning behind either way he could go. Personally, I think he'll throw his hat in the ring, but that he won't be afraid to walk away if the price isn't right. And I don't think he'd be wrong to do so.
