  1. I'm a big Shota fan, but I want Rea to start the Game 5. Just like Boyd did tonight, Shota could pitch well, but I feel way more comfortable with Rea, and I think most of you guys agree.
  2. To me and probably to most of us, Jamo seems to be the only good SP we have at the moment. Boyd or Imanaga don't make much difference to me. They could perform great someday, but they could be bad any day like they have been lately. I really wish Boyd will pitch well today. If he could pitch 4 innings with 2 or less ER, that would be good. The offense needs to score early. I'd be super happy, if the Cubs are up by 3 by the end of 4th inning, kind of like yesterday.
  3. I hate the Dodgers, but I like Kershaw. It's kinda sad to see him giving up many runs last night. At least, Yamamoto gave up 6 hits/ 3 runs in 3 outs. That made me happy.
  4. That's true, but Ben probably won't be worse than the Boyd's G1.
  5. I hope so, too, but I doubt it. He hasn't shown anything big, since he came back.
  6. I like Ben better than Boyd starting tomorrow, too. I know it sounds crazy, but at least let him start, and see how it goes.
  7. I think Boyd will start tomorrow, although I don't like it.
  8. The Cubs had good chance, because aside from Horton, Jamo was the best pitcher at the end of the season, and it's a home game.
  9. The Cubs could get better by selecting decent free agents (not like Ryan Pressly), IF Steele, Assad, Horton and Amaya are healthy, and as you mentioned, those younger guys would improve, more than likely. Hodge and Brown shouldn't suck as bad next year. Considering all the injuries, I didn't think the Cubs were going to win 90+ games this year.
  10. For the first two games, if Mo was the DH, instead of Tucker, it could've been better. At least, it couldn't have been any worse.
  11. I agree 100%. I really don't want him back, like I said, unless he's dirt cheap, which isn't gonna happen.
  12. Assuming we win the game 3 with Jamo, I'd like to see something crazy like starting Ben Brown or Civale. Doesn't seem like we can beat the Brewers with Boyd or Imanaga starting. Rea would be better than Brown and Civale, but he just pitched tonight.
  13. It just sucks to lose first two in the best of 5.
  14. Yeah, that's what I meant. I don't want Tucker next year. That said, he could be great for another team next year.😄
  15. I think we've seen enough Tucker, and I don't like the Cubs to sign him, unless he's dirt cheap. Two different teams, but even Bellinger was better than Tucker this year.
  16. Yeah, I guess it all comes down to the offense. If they score 3 or less runs, they would lose more than half the game.
  17. I can't believe the home run. I wanted a splitter there. A bad pitch selection and location. At least, all the hits, including the home run was super hard hit.
  18. Well, Seattle tied the game. I have no idea which will win, but probably, Seattle. How come Blue Jays could score so many runs, especially against Max Fried? Why can't the Cubs score more?😄
  19. So, you're saying Seiya at the LF? That would work. He played the LF a few times, and he did OK.
  20. I'd like to see Rea starting for the game 1 against the Brewers. That gives other SP's to rest an extra day, and the last two games in the season, Rea was awesome. What do you guys think?
