    Nice choice for a username! yeah well...when i picked it, i kinda forgot about that, but if you take the 2 1/2 years off the time since i became a cubs fan it has been 29 years...just not consecutive...plus i never rooted for another team, just quit watchin baseball almost altogather for the years in question :) your loyalty trumps my age... more power to you!

    Yes! 1080i is amazing when broadcast with the correct cameras and pushed into your home with the correct signal. To date, The Masters was the most impressive form of sports broadcast in 1080i. CBS does a great job...I wish ESPN would start 1080i and if FOX would ever invest in high end cameras it would be tough to get work done due to the amount of true HD that would be available. Good to hear bro, good to hear! I just got my TV on Friday and I love it! I'll put this TV against any besides the Qualia. Worth every penny I spent! Discovery HD does a fanastic job also. "Sunrise Earth" is a boring program but the visual's are just outstanding! Can't take my eyes of the screen... What TV do you own? I'm in the market for a new TV. Sony 50" SXRD! I just read up on it. Very nice. The 50" looks to be $4,000, right? The only reason I could justify spending that amount is for sports watching, but if networks aren't even producing the best signal my TV can handle, is it even worth buying at this point? What's the difference between 1080i, v, and p? For sake of keeping this the game thread, PM me and I can give you the details. I just finished my home theater setup and can guide you through the process. That being said... GO CUBBIES!!!

    Oh screw you, man. They were wining and didn't draw...and their fans are the greatest? I'm done with Jones :shock: After a couple quotes and below average play ... 20 games into the season. Ok... So you weren't at all upset by those remarks? He knew the fans here could be rough especially since we've come to expect some success. You simply can't come to a city like Chicago and expect fans to forgive you when you perform poorly. He talked to Hawkins and knew the facts before he signed here. Now he blames the fans for not supporting him and implies that we're not here "through think and thin" like the Minny fans. The same Minny fans that support their teams so well that they were considered for contraction. A couple quotes indeed. Sure it made me upset, but to claim "I am done with Jones" is certainly not my attitude.

    If you can, take the cable box back and ask for a HDMI box. They have them and should not cost you any more per month. Skip the converter as it is just a point of failure should it go.

If that's your car it's a sweet looking ride. Thanks, it is and I have enjoyed it. However the past few months it has turned into a weekend track car.

The difference between 720P and 1080I is really minimal at best. I just got a 50' Sony SXRD and the picture to me is stunning! I have the exact same TV. It is hooked up via HDMI and I freakin love every part of it. However, if possible watch a baseball game on ESPNHD then watch INHD ... they broadcast random games (sometime 3 per week) and push the signal out at 1080i, let me tell you it is night and day. Granted an SXRD and ESPNHD is AMAZING, once you see the SXRD and 1080i ... you will know what I am talking about!

    Won't happen, unless Drayton seriously low balls him. And what makes the yankees any closer to winning a WS than the astros with the addition of Clemens? Go look at the Yankees lineup then compare that group to your Astros. I think you will find your answer!

    10 weeks missed = 65 games total without DLee... Lets hope we have good production from our #3 hitter and solid D at 1B whoever plays. If and when Wood/Prior come back ... well, let's just hope we still have a 2nd half of the season to play for! Go Cubs?
