  1. Easily your best article . Although I'd point out that you yourself are probably the biggest purveyor of an " analytics darling."
  2. Ehhh... still no reason to extend him. I can think of a couple center fielders I'd rather have than him on a cost basis. Should have let his contract play out and applied his money to other areas. Extensions dont work out more than they do.
  3. Holy shite, I've never read a so called baseball writer with a greater ability to cherry pick some random useless information to fit a pre- conceived narrative than this guy. Do you get paid by the word? When do we get an article on a batters grip position pre swing vs. Mid swing vs. follow thru? How about a treatise on pitcher selection of spike size? Or the positioning of base coaches on full counts? I hope for your sake this site is a hobby and not a vocation.
  4. This is one of the more fantastically delusional opinion pieces on baseball I've read this year. Sure the cubs might win should they meet in the playoffs. The cubs however ,are not the superior team. The Brewers are and have proven to be over the course of the 162 game marathon. Every obstacle the cubs have encountered this year , the Brewers faced the same if not worse. Winning a playoff series does not make a team better, merely better in that short sample size.
  5. Great article. This is serious, professional level analysis
  6. The pitch Contreras hit wasn't bad. Its his cold zone. Thats something you haven't taken into consideration in your article. Hitters weakness is just as important as pitchers strengths. Sometimes guys hit balls against their book.
  7. I like the Mariners idea unfortunately the Mariners probably won't. They are maxed out on payroll and that deal likely increases their's by about 10m or so.
