Every team finds a couple reclamation bullpen arms a year. Jeds teams usually find one. Tops. Keller last year, Leiter Jr. the year before. Thats it. You're a buffoon if you think Rollinson or Thorton are anything other than AAAA arms.

Not a chance with all the injured pitchers coming back and fringe pitchers like Rollins, Thorton and Civale actually getting results far and above their actual peripherals. It would take at least two injuries minimum for this to even be a remote possibility.

Hes likely gone and deservedly so. Hes toast and has been all year. Unless he unwraps a miracle in the next week or so he can't keep sucking up a roster spot.

Such a sad sate of affairs pitching wise that this otherwise mediocre talent merits an article. Cubs org is an absolute pitching desert.

Id trade him in a NY second if I thought he might bring even an inkling of controllable pitching. His batted ball metrics remain abysmal despite the convenient small sample size. He is bad at fielding despite the media narrative creaming over his supposed versatility which fails to make up for his putrid baseball IQ. Im quite certain hes the dumbest player I've seen play for the cubs since Ryan Theriot

When you consider the putrid history of this franchise its not that shocking that his season ranks among the the franchise best .

There were like 29 teams waiting to swoop in and steal Jed from Ricketts last year. Thank God the billionaire son born on third base had the foresight to extend him before those nefarious goons could . Same could be said for his pitching guru from the Indians who no one has any idea of what he does. Cooper Higgins? Hawthorne? Whatever that alleged GM's name is.
