  1. Favre can just call the play and tell Moss what route to run until he learns the offense. Basically. Favre and Moss have been around enough that it shouldn't be a problem for the routes he'll be running initially. Hopefully he causes Revis to pull up lame again after getting scorched. Can't believe it only took a 3rd. The Vikings have acquired two 5ths since preseason so they can at least maybe package those for a 4 to limit the loss of that 3rd.
  2. Moss was already gone by then.
  3. A friend of mine once had a boxer's fracture when he fell while holding a water bottle in his hand walking to a basketball game sober.
  4. Time to break out all the old pics. Moss will probably be my background by tonight. His fake moon ("what a disgusting act!!!") has been my fantasy team logo for the last 3 years. If it really is only for a 3rd, this is a no-brainer. Straight Cash Homey
  5. I would give up a 2 for him if they have him signed to an extension. Schefter was talking about them repeating what they did with Seymour and adding another #1 pick but the only way the Viking should give up a 1st (and then some) is if Mankins is coming too. God I hope this is true. Somehow that [expletive] Red McCombs should be ordered to pay half of this salary if this goes through.
  6. I thought he was going to be a great receiver when he was drafted. Ouch. One of my friends who is a Vikings fan was super pissed when we drafted Sidney Rice instead of Jarrett. We had a bet on who would be more productive in their first three years. Needless to say, I won.
  7. The Jets will have Revis, Holmes and Pace all back and starting for this game. Awesome.
  8. The best thing to come out of that game was the dude who tased himself after a sack. That's the first time in a long time I actually laughed at a celebration.
  9. Hell of a day. Cink missing three makeable putts on the last 4 holes killed us. Two of them he should have had. Then Donald pulled a lot of shots out of his ass to hold of Furyk. We won everything outside of yesterday 13-9 and only needed one [expletive] point out of 6 matches to win.
  10. U.S is playing exactly like they need to early. Leads in 3 of the first 4 matches on the back nine and the only one they aren't leading is really through no fault of their own. Furyk has played really well but Donald has just been a machine. 2 of the last 4 holes it looked like Furyk had a win and then Donald buried long birdie putts. He's birdied 6 of the first 13. Dustin Johnson has sure proven he can bounce back. That guy is either incredibly resilient or just has no memory. Phil has finally shown up.
  11. Yep. Jay didn't bother to check down the entire first half. It doesn't appear like Martz believes in checking down. I rarely see a check down option and I know SpongeWorthy has pointed this out a few times. It's why his offenses have always taken an incredible amount of sacks, especially away from the super-talented Rams team. Lots of 7 step drops with lots of deep routes that take a long time to develop. He doesn't use the TE's traditionally and if you have to keep your RB in to help protect, there aren't going to be many check downs at all.
  12. Really the prudent move is probably just to run the ball. They're not going to score two TD's and while it's not likely, why even risk getting the only other QB on your roster hurt and maybe needing Matt Gutierrez to start next Sunday?
  13. The Kansas City Chiefs are the last undefeated team in the NFL. I called that. Vegas probably has bets on that though, right? I wonder what the odds were?
  14. Yeah they're looking at possibly having to sign a street free agent to be the #2 next week with 4 days of practice/prep. They would probably bring back Gutierrez wouldn't they?
  15. This is the prime example of why it's ridiculous when people say it doesn't matter who your backup is if you have a franchise QB because if he gets hurt, your season is over anyways. Yeah if he goes down for the year you're probably hosed but it's still extremely important to have someone who can get you through a game or two and give you a chance.
  16. This game has set offense in the NFL back decades. The Giants should really consider taking 3 knees and punting it out of bounds every possession. Just don't give them a turnover or return. Todd Collins! Rookie Jimmy Clausen without Steve Smith! NFL Football on FOX!
  17. Well that was just stunningly awful. Up 6-4 with the way things were going I was expecting 8-8 at worst going into singles. How many putts can you leave short before you adjust? DJ shouldn't have even made the trip, same for Phil. Pavin has been an epic failure as captain.
  18. That was just bizarre. What are you doing not using the timeout? It looked to me like Joe Pa was trying to signal for it. Before the delay of game one of the coaches was freaking out trying to get a timeout called with just under 10 on the play clock. Their red headed assistant was pushing him off the field, and looked right up at the clock like it was fine. Then when they were called for delay of game he was arguing with the official. How about their decision to punt on 4th and 6 at midfield with 4:40 left and down by 14? WTF are you doing? They conceded the game.
  19. Bolden actually impressed me a little last night. Penn State is going to have a tough time in every Big Ten road game but he showed some promise. He stood in the pocket and didn't look to run and had some success when he started taking the underneath stuff which he was accurate on. That was kind of a strange game. The crowd was awesome and the first half was great. Then it was like the entire second half was just bleed the clock time and let the defense clean things up. I really hope Jewel Hampton's injury doesn't cost this team a game this year. They could really use a legit second back, especially one with a little explosiveness. Stanzi continues to play really, really well. The pick was a really good play by that FS. The bye week is going to come at a really good time. Hopefully MSU can beat up on Denard a little before Iowa has to chase him around.
  20. What did he do?
  21. That guy is something. He's truly an awful coach and a total ass to boot. LSU fans realize he's terrible right? The media certainly doesn't. I mean I guess you have to give him some credit for their talent but when you take over a program like that coming off a national championship, the talent is going to come regardless.
  22. Well the Ryder Cup is the one to go to. Football-type atmosphere and really spectator friendly because of the format. The next 3 U.S. contests are in Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin. I'm hoping to catch all 3.
  23. Holy hell this thing flipped in a hurry. The Euro's are on fire.
  24. The U.S. rain gear failed. PGA of America had to go out and buy all new rain gear this morning. Jason Sobel of espn.com has been losing his mind about it on twitter.
  25. The only thing I don't like about the morning pairings is Overton, it's too risky. It could work but it's more likely that Padraig and Donald finish them early. I think Zach would be a better fit to play with Bubba in a best ball setting. Overton hasn't played well lately and he's a tool. Everything else looks about right. I think Tiger/Stricker and Phil/DJ are going to roll in the morning. Don't like the other two matchups but again, it's match play.
