  1. Good lineup, nice to see Theriot get a day off.
  2. When you were just in trouble for a similar occurrence and you have been warned by the Bears to quit it, it should be shocking. actually he got in trouble because some guys who barely graduated hs in texas decided to try to bully a rich black man You can't be serious.
  3. From his production and scouting reports I really don't think he just projects as a utility man. If he can stick in the middle infield he could be a really nice pick.
  4. So Ryan Theriot 2.0 No, Theriot wasn't a top 70 draft prospect. So a rich man's Ryan Theriot? Small, athletic, bad SS Yep 6'3, 210 is small.
  5. Wow that's a stretch. A placekicker that high in the NFL draft is worlds different to a relief pitcher in the first round of the MLB draft. I don't think their relative values are comparable either.
  6. Wow we can pick from a nice group of arms for 19.
  7. Karl is going to let loose with some explitives if one more phone call goes like that.
  8. Ronny having a rough night at the plate. 3 balls put in play, a combined 270 feet.
  9. I think it was a ball but it was close to the corner.
  10. What kind of hack is that in that situation Ronny?
  11. Flip is out, Michael Curry is probably in. Everyone expects Curry to trust the younger guys more and will have more respect in the locker room. Joe D is pissed and says no one is safe. Billups is probably back, if they think Curry can get through with Sheed when needed, he's probably back. What could Rip or Tayshaun fetch on the trade market? They obviously need more post presence on both ends.
  12. Anybody who looks like Noah, but still gets the "ladies", is alright with me. That and fact, that he "brings it" on the court every night, and I could tolerate the occasional annoyance of Noah. I can't imagine anyone making over $2 million a year with celebrity status not being able to get ladies.
  13. Yeah I am done watching. I am glad the NBA got its wet dream though. I really don't understand why people wouldn't watch the NBA Finals this year. I mean, it's not like it's a complete mismatch like some of the previous finals have been, namely last year. It should be a pretty good series between two solid teams. And it's not like there were a bunch of calls that went in the favor of the Lakers and Celtics to get to this point. The Celtics were completely dominant at home and, if you've got home court, that's all you need to advance. The Lakers kicked the crap out of the Nuggets, were solid against the Jazz and were the better team against the Spurs. Both earned the right to be in this spot. I realize that this was the best possible matchup for the NBA but that shouldn't make it unwatchable. You don't understand why? It probably has something to do with the fact that a lot of people like myself who aren't Lakers/Celtics fans have absolutely no one to root for even slightly. I'll probably watch a little bit of it because it should be a good series, but when you have zero interest in who wins or loses it's just a buzzkill. I may have gone out of my way more to watch Suns/Spurs, Jazz/Lakers, Hornets/Spurs and of course the Pistons series' than I will this Finals. Maybe I'm just bitter now and will get into it in a week, but I have no interest right now.
  14. Thanks for showing up tonight Rasheed. Now you have plenty of time to pay homage to KG. What a choke job in the 4th quarter with a 10 point lead at home in an elimination game. Good Lord that was awful and I did not see it coming. Tayshaun was awful again, McDyess disappeared. We'll see what happens with Flip now and who would replace him. I thought he had a terrible series. I absolutely hate this Finals.
  15. That was just absurd.
  16. I didn't think his command was great (way too much of the plate when he was ahead with 2 strikes) but his stuff looked good.
  17. It probably means that Mike is making another return They can use Collins until Rose is just about ready to take the team to the next level, then bring in Phil Jackson for 6 championships in 8 years. Rose better not be thinking minor league baseball. as long as he doesn't develop a gambling problem there won't be a reason for a sham retirement/minor league stint Can he still "be friends" with porn chicks? On Boers and Bernstein Terry wouldn't say exactly why he thought Collins was let go. He said that he media was forced to speculate because the Bulls weren't that specific. So what is Terry talking about? Yeah that was odd. He kept saying that because they weren't specific people went digging and what they found wasn't pretty for either side. I don't recall rumors of anything weird but it was intriguing. I agreed with them that I never like the idea of hiring a coach to just be there for a couple of years with his eventual replacement already on staff. They also suggested that it could be slightly more possible for the #1 pick to be dealt as a result. I'll miss him on TNT, but he'll be back in a few years.
  18. Damn. Terrible end to the first half only to be surpassed by an atrocious first 8+ minutes of the 3rd. Thankfully Boston helped out by making a lot of mistakes down the stretch. They still got to the line too much though. Perkins was just being dumb and Allen really didn't need to get hot. Pistons didn't get nearly enough from the frontcourt.
  19. Well that sucks. The Pistons blew a great half by allowing a 16-4 run to close the half. Chauncey needs to wake up or sit. He played some terrible defense and was completely unaware of the clock at the end. McDyess isn't active tonight and Maxiell needs more minutes. I hate Kendrick Perkins. I'm starting to really hate this entire Celtics team. And are they really showing this 3-year old piece about Rip's mask at halftime again? I'm expecting to see the Russell/Garnett interview again during halftime of game 6.
  20. Damn Kobe is good but I can't stop hating him. Did anyone else catch his TNT interview right after the game talking about what happened down the stretch? Something about how Pau missed two big free throws and he took a shot that just rolled off which happens sometimes, but probably (understatement of the year) should have pulled it out. No it wasn't just that the shot "rolled off". It was that you took one of the dumbest most ill-advised shots in the entire playoffs. Up 4 and could have run the game clock down under 20, but instead he takes this wild, falling out of bounds prayer after travelling with 17 seconds left on the shot clock. It would have been nice if Barry had jumped into Fisher or dished it to a wide open Finley right at the line.
  21. I was at the game in the Bleachers 3 years ago for a bachelor party when Prior got hit by the line drive. The Score says Edmonds, Fontenot and Cedeno are starting tonight. My guess at the lineup: LF Soriano 2B Fontenot 1B Lee 3B Ramirez RF Fukudome C Soto CF Edmonds SS Cedeno
  22. Marbury is a stranger to playoff basketball because he's a complete idiot and doesn't know how to listen to coaching or make his teammates better. I don't see any of that in Rose. I think he's also more physically gifted. I would take Rose but at the same time I think Beasley is getting unfairly blasted by a lot of people. I also think college stats play a small role in the evaluation of these prospects.
  23. Huge win for the Pistons tonight. Chauncey bounced back strong and Stuckey was huge. I thought Flip played Ratliff too much and it really hurt during that Celtics run.
