  1. can't be. Voters are required to vote the winner of tonight's game as #1 then why have voters? the bowl system is a joke, get a damn playoff.
  2. That's disappointing, hopefully he's able to move somewhere else by the end of the month. Rumor has it that AC Milan is interested. I'd imagine learning from Nesta and Maldini would be good apprenticeship for the Gooch. I like it. Hopefully he would get playing time.
  3. Expect that line to go down during the week IMO I just contributed to the line possibly moving down.
  4. That's disappointing, hopefully he's able to move somewhere else by the end of the month.
  5. The Rex not going 100% vs. Packers story is a sidebar on the front page of ESPN.com. Get ready for the national media onslaught.
  6. While I appreciate Rex's honesty with answering those questions, its disappointing to hear him say that he wasn't as prepared as he sounds have been.
  7. Geez, enjoy jail Tank Hopefully the sentence starts after Feb. 4th.
  8. I can't think of any other teams with more than 2 Americans. Reading has two with Bobby Convey and Marcus Hanhemann. Everton has Tim Howard, Man City has Beasley and Reyna, Watford has Jay DeMerit, Blackburn has Friedel, Leeds has Eddie Lewis, West Ham has Jonathon Spector. Hopefully Fulham creates a pipeline for American players to play in the EPL. Rumor now is that Gooch is looking to head to West London with Fulham as well.
  9. Now that hurts. Why do I feel like the guy in the GEICO commercial? Well, I'll be 50 in April, and the guy who asked about OPS is in his late 60s. The guy that said I was "carrying on" about on-base percentage claimed to be a Cubs fan for 60 years. Were these questions sent to you via telegraph? :lmao: agreed. that was damn funny.
  10. DeMarcus Beasley got some 1st team action with Manchester City over the weekend. I saw some of the match against Everton and he was all over the field. He beautifully set up the first goal of the match. Its go to see him making an impact already. It looks like Dempsey's deal is getting close to being official pending some work permit issues.
  11. Chris Meyers totally blew the guy's proposal to his girlfriend. What a jerk.
  12. i'm embarassed to agree with thom.
  13. i wish i could root for Boise.
  14. that's a great call.
  15. wow. that sucks.
  16. Well, 2 of them have money on it. Push = loss in a parlay :( really? wouldn't it just bump it from a 4 team to a 3 team or whatever your parlay was? I don't think so. I'd have to check the rules. i'd hope so. that's unfair otherwise. you technically don't lose, so you shouldn't lose your money.

  18. i'll take a push, i guess.
  19. please cover, OU. Let's go to OT and go for 2.
  20. In the Buffalo game, a fumble was credited to Griese on a bad handoff. In my opinion, it was Benson's fault, but the credit of the fumble went to Griese.
  21. I don't like when they change jersery/pant combos for primetime games.
  22. Exactly. Boras' whole strategy is playing teams off one another (or the appearance of playing teams off of one another). His main goal is to get to the open market ASAP. While he and the Whitesox do not have the best relationship, if its best for his client and best for his own pocketbook, he will do it. Moving to one of the best HR hitters parks in the league will definitely help his case in free agency. Its not probable, but its possible. But he stilll need the White Sox cooperation, cause everybody knows Kenny Williams will rarely, if ever now, deal with him. Not even Boras could convince teams that the White Sox are interested in A. Jones, when everybody in MLB knows of Williams dislike of Boras. So, I seriously doubt, Williams is going to play along with Boras. A) Williams deals with Boras every year on Crede B) Boras doesnt care if the white sox are interested in Andruw once he becomes a FA. At that point it doesnt matter who Andruw played for in 2007. He can sign with any team. I don't see why he needs the white sox cooperation. One of Kenny Williams' assistants actual negotiates with Boras over Crede. He stays out of it.
  23. Clint Dempsey looks like he's close to making a move to Fulham FC of the Premier League. He'll be joining fellow Americans Brian McBride and Carlos Bocanegra.
