  1. the reggie wayne td was blown coverage by d. manning not chris harris.
  2. I don't get why you'd think that. I think this team is in a better position to sustain success than any super bowl loser in several years. Maybe they won't make it back for a long time, but they've got as good a chance as anybody in the NFC for the time being. i don't have any rational reason why i feel that way. i just seems that things unfolded very well for the bears this season and i don't see that happening again. i hope this wasn't our only chance for the next few years. i'm hoping that i'm pissed off about yesterday still and some time away from the season will recharge my batteries.
  3. i'm bummed because i'm not excited for next season. after last year's playoff loss to carolina i was bummed that night, but was really looking forward to the off season because the bears seemed to be on the cusp of something very special. i don't have that feeling today, at all, and that sucks. my team just made it to the super bowl but i don't know if they'll get that close again any time soon. i hope they make it back next year and win but something is telling me its not gonna happen.
  4. barring an absolutely horrific spring training, if rich hill is not in the starting rotation come april, i'm gonna go ballistic.
  5. I'm ready for April to get here as well. Even though I'm in Alabama, it's cold and depressing down here also. I'm planning on making a trip to Chi-Town for the series at Wrigley against the Reds the weekend of April 14th. welcome
  6. Edgar Davids moved to Ajax on a free transfer from Spurs.
  7. i was at the barrett grand slam game. it seems like 10 years ago.
  8. hope he plays a lot.
  9. No curfew + Miami = Bad idea. Is Tank on lockdown? Tank? What about Orton?
  10. is anybody else surprised that benson is only averaging 2.9 per carry this postseason? he seemed to be rushing much better than that.
  11. per the Score. the neo-cons take over.
  12. Feb 7th is a fixture date, so getting the release of all 8 shouldn't be an issue. I'm going to assume you meant isn't a fixture date. I've read that it was an international fixture date. Am I mistaken? I don't know the specifics but I know Chelsea has a match on the 10th of February.
  13. I've been doing some more digging about Gooch and it looks like Lyon is possibly making a move for him as well. It definitley looks like his stock is rising around the world.
  14. I'm too lazy to look it up right now, but I thought Borghetti already tranferred out of Bolton. IIRC, he's in Saudi Arabia.
  15. I think Gooch will get regular time (at least this season) at Stamford Bridge. Their back four have been terrible this year and they've been in desperate need for a strong center back since the summer. Hopefully Gooch shows the quality to maintain his place with the first team. If he's only so-so this season, Chelsea will bring someone in this summer for a full-time replacement.
  16. so what was the news conference about?
  17. Latest rumor out of England and Belgium has Oguchi Onyewu transferring to Chelsea within the next week. I'm excited about this move because Gooch is my favorite player on the US National Team and Chelsea is my club in Europe. Chelsea is in desperate need for a strong central defender, since John Terry has been out for over a month with a back injury. They've looked absolutely dreadful, including a patheic showing Saturday vs. Liverpool in Anfield, 2-0 and it wasn't close. Hopefully JT comes back this week and they bring in Gooch to play next to him, pushing Paulo Ferriera to the right back and pushing Michael Essien back to his traditional middle field position.
  18. why is robert gallery bad? what happened to him?
  19. Sportscenter has rolled out the Bill Parcells love fest for the 1st half an hour, I understand there isn't any other big news in the NFL right now.
  20. The judge doesn't allow Tank Johnson to travel to Miami, he's is going to get some much garbage from Bear fans. As bad as it sounds, I could see some meathead Bears fan doing something really stupid.
  21. Over the course of the season, including the playoffs, youd o not believe that the Bears have proven themselves to be a better team than the Colts? I do. Not that that brings in match ups or anything. May I ask how the Bears have proved to be a better team? Record against Common Opponents-Colts-6-0, Bears-3-2 That's just one statistic. Now, I am not one of these Colts fans who believe that the Colts are better than the Bears-they are not. This is going to be a very even game, although I do think there are some matchups the Colts can exploit. I certainly do not think though that the Bears have proven that they are better than the Colts, and am wondering what your evidence is for that. I would say the evidence is that Indy lost multiple meaningful games down the stretch against ho-hum competition. Indy got the ball run down their throat repeatedly, and while the playoff run stopping has been impressive, it's been as much about teams abandoning the run against them as it has been about Indy stopping people. Both teams scored the same amount of points while the Bears gave up a lot less (and when you including playoff games, the Bears have scored more ppg). I guess that would be the evidence. Although I'm not going to say that it proves the Bears are better. I think it's a great matchup of two equally matched teams. And I have no problem with Indy being a 7-point favorite. Spreads aren't about experts saying which team is better, they are a means to get people to gamble. Not many people would bet on the Bears if they were favorites due to the perception that they are somehow not deserving of being here. Thats not even close to being true. Thats all Kansas and Baltimore tried to do. They may have started passing more towards the end of the games, but it has definitely been Indy's D stopping some of the best backs in the league. KC: 17 attempts Bal: 20 attempts NE: 24 attempts Those aren't huge rushing total attempts at all.
  22. Opening Line is Bears +7 O/U 48.5ish.
