Just as an FYI on Portland, they were the only city in the running for the Expos that already had passed state funding hurdles. The state had already voted to approve financing.

Ifilm.com has all the superbowl ads and more that were deemed "inappropiate". They also have previous years good ones.

well I am glad I tivo'ed the game cause I missed big chunks of it dealing with VERY strange people today at work. Regardless, I grudingly give the Steelers thier credit. Desptie the horrendus calls and questionable play calling, the Seahawks had the opportunity to win. The Hasselbeck interception was the 2nd 14 point swing that they couldn't overcome (the 1st being the DJack penalty and then the phantom touchdown by Rothlesberger). What was extremely laughable about the whole thing that made me just toss my hands in the air and say psssff...the so called penalty on Hasselbeck when he made the tackle. #1 is that calling a tackling pentaly on a QB is almost as bad as calling one on a punter but then you look at it and it seemed like it was a good example of tackling. I just don't get it. Regardless, this loss doesn't take anything away from the season the Seahawks had or how good of a team they are. Can't wait for next year already!

I was just curious as to how Rusch is a Bench player when he is our worst hitting pitcher. I mean if you are going to include just 1 pitcher in your argument of overspending on bench players then I would imagine you should choose Z or someone who can hit. -
Hughes is. He's a special assistant to Hendry. Wilken is replacing John Stockstill, who left the organization earlier this offseason to join his brother in Baltimore. Thanks. For some reason I thought Hughes took over for Stockstill.

Actually if the starting 6 can get those numbers and Williams can improve on his (I doubt with those numbers they would stay with him for that many starts) then thats a pretty solid rotation. Any bullpen numbers yet? I do think that Barrett, Lee & Ramirez are pretty low. The only person above .300 BA will be Pierre? That seems off. -
I could see Ryan Harvey having an '04 type of Dope year.

Woo Hoo is right! I still have my #80 jersey too. :-k It isn't that far from Los Angeles to where you're at. If I can only talk my fiancee into cancelling her family/superbowl bar-b-cue. Unfortunately, I had to talk her into having it so I kind of doubt it. Ah well, we'll see. Come on down and Bring the family. We are more fun anyways. Have the girls gamble and the guys can go and watch the game! WTG on the #80 jersey! :thumright:

So I have to work during the superbowl but there is some good news. I work in a Casino and of course, we have a HUGE VIP players party for the highrollers in the ballroom. Typically we set up 3 50 foot Video Walls and have 100 round tables in the back for a huge Buffet and we have 3 rows of comfy leather massage chairs and leather couches to lounge on. Being in charge of the hotel i get some privledges so I get nice access and chairs reserved for me. I also get to ditch the Suit for the day and wear my Steve Largent Jersey proud! Woo Hoo!

I don't want to start another debate on Prior and Injury prone but regardless of how he got injured he has been injured. Thus he can be described as injury prone. The reason for the injury is the excuse in this case.

I like that Stevens has 5 catches for Seattle. He can be good for the team when he gets involved. He frees up Jackson and alexander.
