  1. amazing how slow game threads are when the game is on the west coast
  2. Plus Paul Allen's money. Wow. add in Pryzbilla on the bench and Sergio Rodriguez in Europe wow Who is already coming over this season. I gotta say, I am as happy as I can be with this draft and administration. Living through the repeated "jail-blazer" media years, Portland was no longer a fun town when it came to the Trailblazers. I moved out the year that Wallace was dealt but I still follow them fairly closely. I REALLY loved their draft last year. Most teams would have been content with Oden but they were active and set themselves up for more in McRoberts & Rodriguez. This draft, they again were active but smart. Got arguably the best shooter in the draft and landed a top 10 talent for cash seems pretty solid. Not to mention that their second round picks kept them involved with future Europeans when they are developed, it is exciting to be a Blazer fan again. Not to mention that McMillian is horribly underrated as a coach.
  3. So I am a trailblazer fan. It looks like they will have another fun draft night. They have 5 picks now. I am sure that they will use them to move up. Eric Gordon would be a nice replacement for Jarrett Jack.
  4. When you know that no matter what you do will pale in comparison, just keep it simple.
  5. 2 bad outings does not make a headcase. More likely is that the league has adjusted to him and he needs to adjust back
  6. gift from the ump there. I think the league figured him out
  7. That is what you want to see when there might be an opening on the club. Definition of going out and grabbing it there
  8. I knew that the count could never do it. That would be 3 cups of coffee, including his callup last season!
  9. it was an error. I can't believe it was called a hit from the beginning
  10. a little bit but with a light Canadian accent. He's not that bad for an away announcer
  11. Bald is sexy! (at least according to my wife, but I think she is just trying to make me feel better!)
  12. How the mighty have fallen. This would have been the window of opportunity for the "Church of Murton" that was all the rage last year and less then 3 months ago. Now all the rage is a journeyman minor leaguer. Hoff can come up immediately because of the injury and Murton won't come up because the team only needs 1 more OF. Patterson is just as likely as Murton at this point. My bet would be something crazy like Kroeger
  13. at what gas price would it have been OK to drive this much?
  14. not really interested. I can't do the research and I would rather just lose apparently! :)
  15. i am going to this game! Yeah! My first Cub/Dodger game in 4 years. Now all I need to do is find tickets...
  16. It appears that this road trip is finally getting to the team.
  17. Angels for me too. Being in So Cal, most of my family are Dodger fans. I have to be rebellious. Anyhow, the Big A is a FUN place to watch a baseball game and in 02 it was an experience when the Rally Monkey started. A true pop culture Phenonmen that is now about as tolerable as the Macerna.
  18. Geo is the one to be concerned with here. It was clear to everyone yesterday that the sliders were coming and he could do nothing against them and he is frustrated at himself. He needs to cool off and swing easy like in April but it is obvious he is pressing. What happened on the swing last night where it appeared he got injured?
  19. According to Cubs.com the plan is to have either Ward or Hoff back for the toronto series to be the DH. One pitcher will go down then. Likely to be Weurtz if Hart does well this week.
  20. Upper-deck to the deepest left-center in the majors. Knowing Petco like I do, I have never seen a ball go that far at night. THat had to have been 450 feet. At wrigley that would have cleared the bleachers and likely landed at the front door of the Budweiser house
  21. Michael Barrett is catching. Do you think this embarrasses him? Also, is this Len & Bob? I am listening on the internet and they sound odd. it does have the comcast icon on the top right corner of the screen
  22. and depsite the heart attack at the end... THAT IS 8 IN A ROW!!!
