  1. i would rather just trade for David DeJesus
  2. So i just watched the highlights and as Edmonds rounded 1st it looked like someone from the brewers (Bush Maybe) put their glove over their face in disgust. Any pics of that?
  3. So if Fuentes can get a high price, why not Eyre? He can be just as good, just without the saves.
  4. not intended either. Lou was clearly walking away and then the ump followed him and tossed him. With Sinatro, he was walking away and the same ump said something to him too. Ridiculous. He should be suspended like the other one was earlier this year.
  5. So Colin Cowherd on ESPN radio on Friday morning spent a couple of segments on the sale and said that if Cuban bought the team, the Cubs would replace the Red Sox as the team ESPN focuses on. I doubt that, but he raises a good point. Cub Nation would be much bigger and more represented if we had Cuban. FWIW, Cowherd said Baseball NEEDS to do this to make the game more viable to the younger generation
  6. So I played the back nine and it played pretty well. A few tough holes but some fun and enjoyable shots too. Come out soon
  7. Really? I would like to hear your reasoning as I agree, ANTZ was better
  8. We appreciate you coming Len. Sorry we have no answers for you. I take it to meant hat you were right and someone was just being "Careless" (Pun intended, lame I know)
  9. just in time to get crushed by me! (Yeah right!)
  10. The golf weather has been REALLY good lately, although the wind has kicked up in the afternoon more then normal. There hasn't been a day over 100 in a week. If I were you I would stay FAR away from Temeku. They are bankrupt and the rumor is that the government is taking control (might shut them down soon) so the condition is really poor. I golfed Red Hawk 2 weeks ago and it was nice. Pretty good shape but the greens were strange. Some were really fast others were extremely slow and there was not explanation. Quite frustrating. If you have a chance, I would recommend Cross Creek. It is a little out of the way but a beautiful course and a chance to just have a relaxing but challenging round.
  11. I actually use peer 2 peer as much as satellite radio
  12. Looks awesome. But, I won't be golfing there at those prices. Heck, I can go to Torrey Pines for $45. If you can get us a good deal, I'll golf with ya. Since it is new, I am sure we can work something out! :) Sometimes my bosses listen to me and other times they don't. Being the revenue/yield manager sometimes works but when they want to price something at some level they won't care about logic. When you come you should see some of the crazy proshop prices. Would you pay $548 for a Hyper X driver?
  13. And so begins the Brutual stretch of the schedule...
  14. So, at the resort I work at we just opened our golf course. Check out http://www.journeyatpechanga.com and tell me what you think. It is a beautiful course and in pretty good shape for being brand new. The rating is just under Torrey Pines so it will be a tough course but really fun because it is so unique. I like to call it "adventure golf" because the holes are so different from each other.
  15. Am i the only one not concerned about a road game in Milwuakee? It is like Wrigley north right? At least 20K of the fans will be Cub fans. At least a 50/50 split
  16. so listening to Colin Cowherd this morning made it seem like the Cubs gave up the farm. What a completely assine response.
  17. Including Toy Story in this poll is just not fair. Not only was it groundbreaking but possibly the best "buddy comedy" ever made and responsible for the 2nd wave of great animation that made the break between Lion King and Toy Story bearable. Think about this... Without Toy Story, none of these other movies would ever have happened. neither would have Shrek, Over the Hedge, Happy Feet, Surf's up or Kung Fu Panda. Or would Disney have given the reins back to the creative and entertaining people that will create a new theme park revival in 5 years to rival the original theme park craziness. You have to vote Toy Story but it is not a fair poll. Take out Toy Story and it gets MUCH harder. Monsters Inc. is truly an incredible story and told VERY well. Simple concept (monsters in the closet/under the bed) and takes it to such an incredibly well developed level showed that storytelling is back and is what makes movies good. Ratatouille changes gears and gets very Adult in parts (takes incredibles family disfunction back plot to the forefront) and sets the stage to say that an adult animated movie can be successful (see Wall-e). It should get points just for making a rat in a kitchen a hero. Cars is beautifully done and enjoyable to watch but ultimately a coming of age film without the sex jokes (except for the ridiculously funny "tramp stamp" part_ Wall-e is such a gorgeous film that it deserves to sit in an art gallery without sound (i know part of its invention - Ben Burtt is a sound genius) and let it run on continuous loop. It got VERY preachy from the beginning and lost the story once they went into space. Incredibles was a calculated risk making animation fun for kids but very serious in parts by having a realistic home life depicted througha father's mid life crisis. Although the "fun" part of the movie (super powers) were a complete rip off from the fantastic four it still worked because of the character development. Pixar has had some incredible success and most of it can be attributed to creative risks and absolutely and extremely talented storytellers. Look at a movie that you REALLY like and the reason is because it tells you a story. Blockbusters like transformers don't tell a story in as much as they go for spectacles to show us unbelievable things. Pixar uses put of the ordinary settings to tell a story.
  18. With Lou non-plussed in his press conference and saying things like "News to me" are Hendry and him still on the same page? I never understood their relationship and hopefully, this does not strain it
  19. The Saturday game has been changed to a 12:05 start, so I'm pretty sure it's not blacked out. Not 100% positive though. I live in So Cal and I don't have MLB.TV or Extra Innings and have been able to get any game I have tried to get all season.
  20. Its only like 2.2M for this year. Yeah, 2.2m this year and 7m next year? Someone has to sign off on this budget increase. I'm just glad that someone is doing it. But with Eyre & Howry leaving next year, the budget is a wash. Also the option is a Club option meaning that it can be not picked up and he would just be Arby eligable
  21. is there a resource to get video of Hill? I would love to see how tweaked his delivery got
