  1. Maybe it'll change as we get closer to the offseason, but I've been pleasantly surprised at how Tucker's impending free agency hasn't been the main story. A lot of that is due to how many guys are having great seasons and that's what's made it so fun. Tucker's been fantastic but hasn't been our best player by WAR. And 2 other guys besides that are also in the same neighborhood as him in terms of wRC+/OPS etc (granted Busch has been shielded against bad matchups). Plus it's hard not to be excited about Shaw right now. I'm very happy this isn't entirely built on Tucker going all Aaron Judge on everyone, which after the first few weeks, seemed like the season had that potential.
  2. 3 more 100+ mph bullets from Seiya. That's what he does
  3. I had jump in the car earlier and Pat said the strikeout pitch to Greene in the 4th was about 98 mph lol.
  4. Literally laughed out loud at that 500 innings graphic by Marquee
  5. The Baseball Gods owe Dansby a bloop double next time up
  6. Cubs had an xBA of .439 that game to the Reds' .252
  7. How does 107 mph at 29 degrees not leave GABP 100% of the time?
  8. I'm guessing the catch probability on that double was not exceptionally low but hard to tell on TV
  9. I actually wonder if it's Berti who's played his way to being the guy DFA'd for Shaw. I would've thought his spot is relatively safe not long ago, but Counsell clearly thinks Lopez is better defensively and Brujan has more flexibility in terms of outfield play. Both also can hit left handed (not that they do it particularly well) which maybe fits better with Shaw.
  10. An ump at this level HAS to be better than that. A breaking ball caught at that spot is not a strike. Can't have that. horsefeathers.
  11. This isn't to diminish Chourio at all because he's fantastic. However, he is very clearly the best thing about the Brewers org going forward.... and I don't think I'd take him over PCA.
  12. They're keeping it 9-0 so the Brewers have to burn real pitchers and can't use position players. 4D chess.
  13. Tough spot for Pressly here after whatever knee issue he had going on. I was expecting Merryweather because of that.
  14. That PCA ball seemed like it would've been below the wind enough to carry more. Dang
  15. Insane he hit a pitch in that location at 103 mph, 25 degrees. Only the wind kept that in.
  16. I hope Mo continues on with the hilarious slash line and can be the key to acquiring a pitcher who slides into the top half of the rotation. To me, with how advanced he is as a hitter as a 21 year old crushing AAA and a questionable skillset beyond that, he feels like the proverbial "sell high" candidate. Hopefully the Twins and/or Marlins believe he can catch.
