    I don't have data to back this up, but it feels to me like more pitches in the zone have been called balls this year so far than in years past. The older umps with huge zones seem to be adjusting to avoid the robot takeover and may be overcompensating

    Not that PCA is a finished product offensively, but it sure feels like he was just pressing to start the season at Iowa to try to impress, and the 2023 MLB 0-fer probably didn't help. Now, after getting sent down on a positive note, I'm expecting him to put up some really good numbers at AAA for a month or two. Hot take: all of our outfielders getting hurt in April saved (jumpstarted is probably more accurate) PCA's season and gave him a needed pick me up
