  1. I can't believe umpires reward Contreras as much as they do. The glove moves so much when he's framing.
  2. Seiya had a baserunning mishap earlier but that was a thing of beauty. Great job
  3. I'm guessing he'll go back out there to at least face Bellinger but a REALLY good outing by Shota. I know results haven't been an issue but this felt more like the 2024 version of him.
  4. I think Stanton's homerun is now the 4th longest fly ball and 9th hardest hit ball of the game so far
  5. The situation did not call for a walk with a 5 run lead
  6. Lol if Boone is gonna have that reaction, he can't wait for confirmation from the clubhouse to challenge
  7. Would be nice if the strike zone could even out a bit. Swing would have been different on 0-2
  8. PCA and Happ both with pulled 110 mph foul balls. The lefties will get to him eventually
  9. The bullpen was well rested, there's an off day Monday. and Boyd goes tomorrow. And Wicks with the wind blowing out....well, I'd personally probably take the over on 3 Cardinals' runs thru 7 had he started.
  10. Coming into this game, Wicks has given up more runs in 2 MLB innings than Pomeranz + Flexen have in over 50 innings. Take a breath guys. And he's probably going to pitch anyway
  11. My guess is so Busch has a better chance at another AB this game than Brujan. Granted it would probably be against Hader, so..
  12. To be fair, I think we're at, or getting to the point where it doesn't. It's annoying when reactionary game thread posters who decided he sucked after 2 weeks of sporadic ABs in April turn out to be right, but here we are. We saw it with Gomes and now Berti too. There's a cliff.
  13. Is there anyone who looks less like a major leaguer than Luis Guillorme?
  14. To be fair, the Astros may have preferred him anyway. And I think we fired all the scouts.
  15. Oh horsefeathers that was Rodgersian in terms of the visual
  16. Alex, I feel like we can describe Tucker's performance this series better than "starting to heat up" when he has like a .920 OPS on the season
  17. Haha, I actually feel a little bad for Pearson here when you know you're on a plane back to Des Moines no matter how good this second inning is (which is off to a bad start)
  18. Busch Stadium will seem like the Grand Canyon after this weekend
