    Different injuries. An athlete coming back to game action from an ACL inside six months is something you can see happening. Because we already have seen it with Kyle Schwarber, amongst other athletes sooner than Kyle. A player on a team I support did his ACL in March 2024 and returned in September. But six months from TJ surgery? You would be hard pressed to find anyone returning to action before 12 months. We wont see Steele back this year.

    Tbf, it was about as close as the time every Cubs fan crapped themselves thinking Cleveland hit a walk off HR in Game 7 of the World Series. Not that close. 😛

    True story. The other day I had a day dream that PCA messed with the 3rd baseman and allowed the Cubs hitter get to 1st base without a throw. Imagine how proud I am that I didn’t verbalise it.

    Nats are such a crappy defensive team. Who the hell tries to throw the runner out at home base from deep CF? You’re not making that throw, and now he’s let the runner advance from 1st to 2nd.

    As if any 3rd baseman thinks they can outrun PCA to 3rd base, especially when PCA is closer to getting back to 3rd than the fielder was.

    To think that the Mets traded us PCA because Javier Baez had the “swim move “ perfected lol.

    It’s quite awesome to hear that Roki has sucked and the Dodgers haven’t signed a minimum wage ace because that would just be annoying. But then again, with 15 pitchers on the IL and signing even more pitchers, they are still plenty annoying.

    The contact the Rockies handed out to KB (7/$182M) is more expensive in AAV than any contract the Cubs (8/$184M to J-Hey) have ever handed out. Make it make sense.

    In 1935, the Cubs owners were offered the chance to sign Joe DiMaggio by his minor league club but declined as they were concerned about an injury that he suffered. The Cubs were even told they could sign him and if they weren’t happy, they could send him back for a refund. What this all amounts to is the Cubs owners owe us a lifetime PCA contract.
