    Well John Henry has to pay for Florian Wirtz someway. And this was the easiest way to do it.

    Just read that with this series win, the Cubs have won their first 5 series against the NL Central. First time it’s happened since 2016.

    Roki’s year could be a lesson for Japanese players not to come over to the states too quickly. He’s had a miserable year on the mound and now he could get shut down for the rest of 2025. Had he stayed in Japan for the next 2 years, he could have dominated in Japan in that time and come over after having signed a big contract. That’s the risk I suppose.

    Still would have been a better scenario than having Turner hit IMO. Walking Tucker would have just seen the lefty McGuire hit, who has hit better than Turner this year.

    Baseball managers are great. They always want to talk about everything, including the result of the review. Clearly foul, but Counsell still wants a 2 minute meeting with the umpires lol.

    Andrew McCutchen is old as horsefeathers and still kills the Cubs. 😞

    One of the shittest AB of the year that one was. Like, totally crap. Strike 1 was right in Seiya’s wheelhouse to be crushed. Next pitch produced whatever that was.

    It feels like this game is being played in slow motion at the moment. So annoying.

    JD, if there wasn’t replay review, the correct call would have been made. Umpires have become lazy because there is replay review.

    It would have been such a Dansby thing to do if he hit in a DP at the plate/1st base.

    Cubs hitters, surely you’ve got to score here. Surely.

    And then the ump gets called out by the hitter after a bad call like that and ejects the player. Probably because the ump feels like he’s just been embarrassed on top of making an embarrassing call. Ironic.
