  1. It’s pretty obvious they are willing to blow past 200 million for Ohtani. They aren’t going to show this much interest and then go offer him the same contract they offered Dansby. They easily coulda leaked by now that they aren’t interested like the Mariners did. They may not get him but it won’t be because they low balled him an offer.
  2. Going to Orioles Hangout and stalking if Big Bird had any insider info.
  3. Precursor to Roberts.
  4. Saw something on twitter about Bo Bichette? Wonder if he’d be ok moving to 3rd.
  5. Probably going to go as well as Arrieta coming back to the Cubs in 2021.
  6. I’m guessing/hoping that’s how we find our 3rd baseman for next year. Also some bullpen arms.
  7. That’s not very secretive.
  8. I mean, it’s not really going out on a limb to say it’s between us and the Dodgers.
  9. That’s what I got from this.
  10. And Imanaga has already been in Chicago. Not sure if that’s on a recruiting visit or what but he’s pretty intriguing,
  11. There are 3 or 4 relievers that could easily be non-tendered. Guys like Rucker and Killian are no brainers right now.
  12. It’s absolutely lazy to compare Hoskins to Mancini/Hosmer. They have zero in common.
  13. 40 man is now at 40 after adding Arias, Horn and Hodge. Definitely going to be some trades coming.
  14. Maybe a bad way to phrase it but yes, I don’t see both being on this team next year.
  15. Would be a good time to find someone to take Madrigal or Wisdom off our hands.
  16. I don’t know. It’s not my first, second, third or fourth choice. I’m just saying I’d rather do that than give Candelario a multi year deal.
  17. Let someone else offer him 3 years. I’d rather go with Madrigal until Shaw is ready middle of next year:
  18. Well yeah, he was negative win player for them. People forget that and why I’m hesitant to go multi years with him.
  19. And Russell decided to be a woman beater.
  20. I remember when we had “too many shortstops” back in 2015. That changed in a hurry.
  21. I mean, this goes back to not playing the young guys instead of the “guys who got us here” when the guys who got us here weren’t hitting. I also remember several plays in CF where PCA’s defense could have made the difference in that huge Arizona outfield.
  22. No it’s not lol. He’s not coming here over the Mets to manage another Brewers situation again.
  23. I like this. Yes, Stroman gave the rotation a stable starter but this rotation needs more whiffs. With Stroman, there really wasn’t any room for another starter. This gives Jed a lot more flexibility. It also puts more pressure on him. Hopefully he can go out and get a DUDE to pair with Steele.
  24. They’ve judged it from the past 7 years he’s been in the organization.
