He was gonna pull a Schwarber and come back for the World Series if the Phillies made it that far. Unless he suffered a setback I’m guessing he’s good to go. That’s also what Boras implied on the radio the other day as well.

If they sign Hoskins, I think that pretty much closes the book on Chapman. Jed has said on multiple occasions that they are looking for left handed hitting. I would say it’s one or the other.

But I don’t trust him to go nuts for years 2-5. Let someone else take that risk.

I can talk myself into Chapman if we give him an opt out after 1 year and hope he goes nuts next year. Not my ideal scenario but I wouldn’t hate it.
