It’s pretty silly to me to say we are going to lose out on Shohei because of money. Everyone knows upfront what it’s going to take to sign him. It’s not some big mystery. If he picks the Dodgers, it’s going to be because he wanted to play there more.

It’s pretty obvious they are willing to blow past 200 million for Ohtani. They aren’t going to show this much interest and then go offer him the same contract they offered Dansby. They easily coulda leaked by now that they aren’t interested like the Mariners did. They may not get him but it won’t be because they low balled him an offer.

It’s absolutely lazy to compare Hoskins to Mancini/Hosmer. They have zero in common. -

I remember when we had “too many shortstops” back in 2015. That changed in a hurry.

I mean, this goes back to not playing the young guys instead of the “guys who got us here” when the guys who got us here weren’t hitting. I also remember several plays in CF where PCA’s defense could have made the difference in that huge Arizona outfield.
