  1. it feels like an accomplishment when he hits it out of the infield
  2. Boog said before the game that the Cubs are 29th in average and 27th in slug vs lefties since late May. Checks out. They need to find a solution to that and quickly
  3. Something tells me Horton won’t keep pulling a rabbit out of his ass so the cubs better get some runs and quickly
  4. Gonna make a wild prediction. I think the Cubs walk out of Houston with a sweep. They've dominated AL teams all year long and they are long overdue in sweeping a good team. I think Seiya and PCA both have a big series.
  5. I think it's fair to say though that he's been an average player his rookie year, all things considered. And that's pretty impressive for a guy who has a negligible amount of minor league experience, in his rookie year, and first year playing in a new organization. With that being said... I saw on MLB network today that Tuck has an OPS of .901 against lefties this year. That's pretty wild. Not sure what more this guy needs to do to get 500 mill from the Cubs
  6. Shaw will be a good player, but Smith looks the part. That kid will be a future superstar. At this time last year he was a month or two removed from playing in college lol. For him to do this with little minor league experience, is pretty impressive. If the Cubs keep Tucker around for the long term, it was 100% worth it though. But that remains to be seen.
  7. That is true. Lester was such a great but weird player lol. I remember he could never throw to first base and then one day, he got I think Tommy Pham out by like 30 feet 🤣 good times
  8. The more I think about it, it does seem ridiculous lol. But 2016 does come to mind.
  9. The Cubs did it in their WS year and that was without the benefit of the DH. I was going to say instead of Turner, but you are right that one of Kelly or Amaya would need to be able to occasionally platoon 1b to make it work
  10. Unpopular opinion maybe but I really think the Cubs need to consider keeping McGuire around when Amaya gets back. At the very least, he's made it a conversation
  11. This is a game where I could stomach seeing Ryan Pressly
  12. “They even named a section of the ballpark after him” - JD
  13. Hopefully the starting pitcher can give up less than 8 runs today
  14. The tallest ****** is still a ******. Take a look at Shaw's exit velo on the year, if you feel like vomiting
