  1. That is true. Lester was such a great but weird player lol. I remember he could never throw to first base and then one day, he got I think Tommy Pham out by like 30 feet 🤣 good times
  2. The more I think about it, it does seem ridiculous lol. But 2016 does come to mind.
  3. The Cubs did it in their WS year and that was without the benefit of the DH. I was going to say instead of Turner, but you are right that one of Kelly or Amaya would need to be able to occasionally platoon 1b to make it work
  4. Unpopular opinion maybe but I really think the Cubs need to consider keeping McGuire around when Amaya gets back. At the very least, he's made it a conversation
  5. This is a game where I could stomach seeing Ryan Pressly
  6. “They even named a section of the ballpark after him” - JD
  7. Hopefully the starting pitcher can give up less than 8 runs today
  8. The tallest ****** is still a ******. Take a look at Shaw's exit velo on the year, if you feel like vomiting
  9. So they won't put in McGuire to face a righty in a critical spot vs the Mariners and they put in Kelly to face a righty in a critical spot tonight. Funny!
  10. Gotta wait until the Cubs get a few more runs before you throw it at his head... lol jk
  11. You just know the Cubs are going to struggle to score now lmao
  12. Making this cast of bums like Gorman and Nootbaar look like A Rod and Jeter
  13. Can't wait to see Taillon pitch in game 2 or 3 of the playoffs. /s
  14. I love this version of Seiya, even if it comes with a few more strikeouts. Guy is such a horsefeathers beast! One of the best right handed hitters in baseball
  15. Taillon has a FIP of 4.45 in his career with the Cubs. He is the definition of average. I appreciate his durability as a player, but I won't be sad to see him go after next season. That money can be spent on someone more impactful.
  16. Hopefully we can get a stress free, blowout type of game tonight. Cubs could use it after the last 2
