  1. Absolute pathetic display if offense. This team is going no where. The entire top of the order has no idea how to hit anymore
  2. Just a perfect fit for this roster.
  3. To be honest, i can see the value of insane success at AAA for a long time, even though the MLB is a different animal. I agree with you though. Its driving me insane.
  4. Could be. I'm not convinced Happ will waive his no trade though. He seems to love Chicago. Id be open to trading either one. I think Happ has been a great Cub and when hes gone ill miss him but its time to move on.
  5. I think Turner will be here all season. Seems like Jed loves his vet presence in the clubhouse. Not saying I agree with it but I dont see him being DFAed even though I 100% agree with you.
  6. He needs to improve at catcher. I get it. Wont be surprised to see Suzuki traded this offseason to open up DH for Mo, Cassie or Alcantara.
  7. Lmao. I talk horsefeathers. Jed does something.
  8. Jed got his extension. Hes not going to do anything. He built a team just good enough to make the playoffs. Like he always does. Hes the worst big market GM of all time and a coward.
  9. Jason, since you seem to be a fortune teller and some sort of wizard when it comes to reading Jeds mind, can you tell him to bite the bullet and just trade for Paul Skenes? Great call on Soroka
  10. Probably because Wicks sucks.
  11. Ive been saying that for 2 months now. Our pitching staff is horrible. Jed continues to build a bullpen full of guys with no velocity.
  12. They could have also used it on actual pitchers and bullpen help instead of assembling a bullpen from guys that should be on the couch somewhere like everyone has been saying for years. Instead were stuck with a bullpen full of "reclamation projects" that throw 92
  13. This team is a joke. And we extended the moron who built it.
  14. I have never seen someone as bad at hitting with RISP as Swanson
  15. Still remember watchint Ryno warm up in the on deck circle at my very first Cubs game back with my Dad, my brothers and my uncle. I still remember that game fondly after my uncle passed. RIP Ryno. You will be missed. Thanks for the joy you brought so many people.
  16. Tends to happen when one org is run competently and the other is run by Jed Hoyer
  17. I mean look at where they rank on fangraphs. Its not a very good rotation. They dont strike guys out and they arent very good at getting ground balls. Boyd and Imanaga are ok pitchers, Taillon is guarenteed to give up a minimum 4 runs per start when healthy and the rest of the rotation is questionable. Horton has looked better though
  18. They needed pitching reinforcements over a month ago. This rotation is bad
  19. Moving Wiggins would be a braindead move from this org. We are constantly struggling with pitching depth and finding guys to eat innings. Pitching should be the focus for this year and for the future so why deal from a need. Id much rather deal Cassie, Alcantara, Rojas, Ballesteros over Wiggins. We have some depth on the position side so deal from that rather than from our pitchers. Wiggins and Horton represent our best chance at finally developing a homegrown ace with the frontline starters profile we need. They should be just as untouchable as in my opinion. I'm not moving either for anything short of a young starter with at least 3 years of cost control. I think we can land two good starters without dealing either. Our position player pool and some pitchers from our second tier (Gallager, Sanders, Birdsell) plus lotto tickets should be able to land the pitching we need this deadline.
  20. I'm a Cubs fan. Why stop watching because I dont have confidence in those pitchers? That doesnt make any sense to me.
  21. Very true. Arrieta is a great example. 2nd half of 2015 and the first half of 2016. He was great. He fell off in the back half of 2016 a bit but he had a great run.
