Is there a chance Happ is left off the playoff roster? He is absolute dogwater right now.

Where were you when the Cubs saved baseball?
  5. JBears79
    We should be extending him.
  6. JBears79
I really think they should extend Seyia if they can.
  7. JBears79
Id be surprised if he doesnt have the framework of the extension already worked out with them.

I called Alcantara yesterday so im calling an Assad perfect game today.

Nice article, Jason. I loved this trade deadline and believe the Cubs got significantly better for this season while maintain a very solid farm system for the future. Losing Rojas hurts as I thought he could be a headlining piece for a controllablr starter but clearly the industry doesnt view him the way prospect pundints do. I like what Keith Law wrote about that trade and his overall assessment of Rojas.

Counsell has a mancrush on Thielbar so it will be woodford
  11. JBears79
That slider by Scott is filthy though

Man, I really love Pedro. I think hes gonna be a great player for us. Just need to get him some OF work.
  13. JBears79
I think hes thrown a couple rehab starts already so shouldnt be too long

This will be the Kevin Alcantara break out game. I feel it.
  16. JBears79
    Lmao. 5 pitches
  17. JBears79
Both Holmes and Guasman could be extension candidates, no?
  18. JBears79
It does with the Brewers. LA will always be a role of the dice.
  19. JBears79
Fernando Cruz, your table is ready.
  20. JBears79
I would love one more pen arm but I'm pretty happy with this trade deadline. Yeah it would have been nice to get a controllable arm but seems like the Cubs are incredibly high on Ayers and Hartshorn.
  21. JBears79
Alright alright alright. hate to see Rojas go but he's blocked everywhere and with Ramirez and Shaw, no where for him to play.
  22. JBears79
I like it. Think this means we arent moving Ayers.
  23. JBears79
I just want more one starter. Id take another rental if we cant get a cost controlled arm
  24. JBears79
    love this

I swear if i have to listen to Jed say "tHe PrICes WeRe jUST tOo much" ...what the horsefeathers are we doing with all these blocked prospects then. Alcantara, i get keeping, we have OF holes and he does still have a high ceiling if he can get the Ks under control but this is the deadline to move some guys.
