  1. I know it wasn't a trade but I think of guys like Adam's who the rays just turned into an absolute beast. Assad and Wesneski having tremendous amounts of movement and break on their pitches just seem like guys that would get to the next level with the rays. Wish the Cubs could poach whoever is leading the pitching charge over there.
  2. Rays are probably gonna turn wesneski into a star
  3. 600 mil is kind of wacky, better be some serious protections in that contract based on innings pitched/number of starts
  4. It's probably due to the Padres asking price, didn't a report come out a few days ago that they were asking for a ton from the Yankees
  5. Precursor to Soto? Was he Sotos favorite coach in SD?
  6. Didn't the rays want mlb ready pitching for glasnow? How does that make any sense, wouldn't teams that want to trade for him have that interest because they don't have any mlb ready pitching of their own? With all the question marks around glasnow with his health I'd rather they stay away from him. Just spend that 25 mil on Yamamoto over 9 years. But then again, hoyer is afraid of the big year deals. So I see why the Cubs have been linked to numerous trade targets with 1-2 years of control.
  7. That will be nasty if the Mets get Ohtani
  8. That extra year of control is really valuable. You guys are thinking too light
  9. Steele would HAVE to be included in a trade for Bichette right?
  10. Thank God the Cardinals signed Gibson. Was afraid he was Hoyers #1 target
  11. Odd to gatekeep a forum, don't you want more people to post?
  12. Yeah 121 wrc+ for alonso to 119 wrc+ for Morel. Plus Morel is cheap and under team control for a few seasons. Alonso is trending the wrong way and still wants big money
  13. Those Morel for Alonso rumors are disgusting. Hope Hoyer isn't stupid enough to do that
  14. I want Yamamoto so bad, sign him and another arm and then you can deal from the pitching surplus to trade for Soto
  15. Yeah Horton and PCA are the only blue chip prospects in the system. Would only trade them for controllable players. Like Woo, just throwing that name because someone mentioned it on here.
  16. You mean Horton? Wesneski wouldn't be much of a loss
  17. Padres owner dead. Soto trade even more likely now I bet
  18. I would assume Wisdom gets non tendered, probably wouldn't net anything good in a trade.
  19. I feel like it's the worst kept secret in baseball right now. They are desperately trying ro gain leverage by leaking they have plans to hold on to him but every team knows their seriously bad financial situation.
  20. Feels like they were in on a lot of the top tier free agents last year too. Hoyer is just trying to get in opportunistically at low years, high AAV. Which doesn't really get it done with top tier free agents.
  21. Yeah I wouldn't mind Chapman at like 4 yr 70 mil but that 150 mil prediction by mlbtr is wild. Would rather them just go the trade route for Drury even though he didn't play 3B last year, think he's got solid numbers at third over his career. Or maybe Turner on a 1 year deal to split time at 3B and 1B
  22. I think the Giants get Ohtani. Other than the west coast connection, someone mentioned the 350 mil they were going to throw Correa that went unspent, I think they go all in for him or Yamamoto
  23. I want them to splurge on the pitching side of free agency so bad and use the trade market for bats. Yamamoto/Matsui/Kimbrel/Moore And then trade for Soto/Alonso
