  1. Team is running out of steam fast. Wesneski sucks too btw.
  2. I am fine with a project, I'm just not fine with a project pitching in crucial situations during a playoff run. I gotta imagine that's the last time you see him in non mop up duty, atleast I hope.
  3. Can the Cubs stop pitching Cuas in anything that isn't mop up duty? He sucks.
  4. Pitching Caus in a 0-0 ballgame is an interesting call...
  5. Is Wicks gonna be able to strike enough guys out or is that kinda gonna be an issue going forward?
  6. Man if Hendricks is going to keep pitching like this you might as well pick up his team option next year.
  7. Ross really isn't that good of a manager is he?
  8. Man Hoyer and his multi-year deals to bum ass vets. Name a better duo.
  9. Wouldn't you be dead if you knew you were playing behind Smyly? What trash.
  10. The air and water show weekend in Chicago is awesome. Seeing the jets flying past the buildings and over the Cubs game is so cool.
  11. Yeah probably but it shouldn't. How many home runs has he hit since April? dude's been ass for months now. And again, if you want to keep him around and DH him every once in awhile okay that makes a little more sense, but to play him on defense? For a team that supposedly values defense? It's horsefeathers stupid.
  12. Good. Now do Patrick wisdom. It blows my mind how this guy still has a spot on this roster, and even more crazy, they still play him on defense.
  13. No Ricketts isn't messing around. If he didn't give Jed the green light these bums would still be on the roster.
  14. Get Shaw to AA, it doesn't even look like A is a challenge for him.
  15. He's too good for high A right now. Ballesteros with a bomb as well.
  16. Good thing he went to Stanford.
  17. Few thoughts. -What a fall for Hodge. If I remember correctly he was on a few preseason top 10 Cubs prospect lists. To me he's got to be the most disappointing Cubs prospect this year. -The Cubs 2020 draft was hilariously bad. Only one guy from that draft is in their top 30 and that was their fourth round pick. Absolutely brutal. The first three picks of that draft were Howard, Carraway and Nwogu. I can't imagine a worse sequence of picks.
  18. It's easy to forget how young Canario still is. He doesn't turn 24 until May of next season. Still a strong possibility he could be a contributor at the MLB level next year, especially if his power fully comes back to what it was before his shoulder injury.
  19. Bowser is freaking huge but man those K numbers for a college guy in rookie ball are kinda hilarious.
  20. A .601 OPS will do that to a man.
  21. Early on, out of the Hernandez Brothers, Alexis seems to be the more interesting of the two by a decent margin. Alexis 2023 ACL (so far) 135 PA .336/.430/.543 Christian 2022 ACL 175 PA .261/.320/.357 Interesting when you consider Christian was the much higher rated prospect. Still early for both no doubt, but it just shows you how much of a crapshoot international prospects and their rankings can be.
