    how are ticket sales going for this season in peoria? i had a ticket package for something like 15 games last year, but elected not to do it again due to the need to have a little more flexibility with what days I go to games due to my irregular work schedule. i hope to make it out to closer to 20 games this year. also, when is myron noodleman going to be there again; i have to make sure to not show up, that dude thought that my sister and i were boyfriend and girlfriend.

    hermanson was a random member of the staff who happened to pitch in the ninth inning. he had a nice shiny era, but he's nothing special. wood and prior are -- or at least they would be, in my opinion, if we hadn't already run them into the ground.

    Apparently he needs more wins. Right. I guess those three straight years of at least 130 ERA+ don't matter, especially when the only starters to have accomplished this from 2003-05 were him and Santana. I'll stop attempting to hijack this thread now. If Zambrano pitched for the Yankees or Red Sox he would lead Sportscenter every time he pitched. He is a special talent. He and Lee are the 2 most important players for the Cubs. I'd say Z may be the most important. Kind of sad when the cards fan is the only one with any hope for this team. Saying Z isn't elite is ridiculous. He has had the three best consecutive years of any cubs starter since WWII Hmm....seems to me that Fergie Jenkins had a few good years in a row. :) Ken unless you want to base your entire argument on wins or innings pitched, id have to agree with stitchface here.

    He's spare parts no matter how they label him. He was one of a few fallback options for the job going into 2005. It's a huge difference than Wood and Prior. That's not the point; he was a pitcher who was misused on the staff. is there a reason you refuse to acknowledge that you might want to be a little more careful with guys like wood and prior than guys like hermanson, or do you just hate the white sox so much that you twist your arguments around the idea of finding something that makes them look bad? I think you need to reread this thread. This is about how Phil Rogers praises Guillen and disses Baker. I'm not putting any extra value in starting pitchers versus relievers/closers. My point is that some people fail to remember that Harmanson was mishandled and as a result, he is reinjured. :roll: hermanson was mishandled + all the good pitchers were handled well = net positive all the good pitchers are mishandled + somebody lame like novoa or something was handled well = enormous negative ps-ROLLEYES IS LAME

    id do the same thing if i was todd playing for the cubs would suck getting benched in favor of neifi and having dusty on your case all the time would suck even more
