wait.....what? 3.20-3.50 ERA for wandy? i don't see that coming close to happening. that would be an amazing 4 starter sure would. i suppose pettitte is set to pitch 350 innings with an 0.85 era then clemens isnt going to be back until june though, so i wouldnt expect any more than 225 innings from him -

i don't think this is true. i think the burden of proof is actually on bonds, and bonds has to prove malicious intent, which he almost certainly can't, whether he took steroids or not. I'm not a lawyer but I'm guessing malice is not relevant in the case of true statements. Plenty of malicious statements have been printed about Josef Stalin, who has living relatives, but you can be sure none of Stalin's relatives will ever sue for libel because the malicious statements about him are true. i guess i worded that badly. malice definitely is not relevant in the case of true statements.

It's not that hard to improve on what we did last year, Rocket. Do you remember the countless AB's where there were RISP, and whoever was up there would get anxious and swing at the first pitch and hit into a double play? All the friggin time? i don't think getting jacque jones is the way to remedy that Nor do I. But you said that clutch hitting was mainly luck. My point was had we been more patient at those times last year, we'd have scored more runs. if we'd been more patient at all times, we'd have scored more runs

i was rooting against ucla just because raisin was such a jerk last year about rooting for anybody but illinois i hope the whole team shreds their knees before the next game

i wasnt rooting for either team, so that was pretty awesome to watch all around.

i'm a big fan of not looking at a player's spring training numbers when assigning jobs. i'm NOT a big fan of not looking at a player's major/minor league numbers from recent seasons, especially the most recent season in the case of guys who are way old. one out of two isn't bad.
