    hahahahah come on guys, we all know the cubs are going to terrible for the next few (read:30) years, lets just give in and starting the 1998 crew back together. it'll be fun, i promise.

    the fact that there are players named both todd walker and manny ramirez in the texas-texas tech game is really distracting me

    detroit's good pitching didn't shut down st. louis' good hitting. Well game 1 Verlander gave up 6 runs and they lost. Game 2 Rogers pitched good and they won. Game 3 they gave up 3 runs and Carp gave up 0 and the Cards won, game 4 they got some bad breaks gave up 3 runs and lost. And game 5 again bad breaks and gave up 2 runs and lost. So they pitched OK in the W.S., but the cards pitched better and guess what, the better pitching won. maybe the cardinals offense just scored all those runs? how can you say this wasnt just good hitting beat good pitching?

    i wish i could gamble on things like this, but id be willing to wager that a team that does not currently exist will win the world series before the cubs do.

    the cubs definitely wont win a world series in my lifetime (since im going to commit suicide as soon as the cardinals finish the job)

    2003 = ridiculous collapse in post season 2004 = enormous hopes followed by injuries and huge disappointment 2005 = white sox win world series 2006 = cardinals win world series i think it's pretty reasonable to suggest there's never been a worse time to be a cub fan

    last year he hit 276 and his obp was 290. i can't even imagine how insane that would've driven me.
