It was reported earlier today that he isn't really interested in playing for them. So this would be a counter to that report. Why he wouldn't? No idea. i'll bet cespedes was a big expos fan

Months later, this quote still applies for me. I think it will hit me during the season when the team is surprisingly good on the field and everyone's all "zomg the Cubs are gonna be blah blah blah before you know it!" you are going to be pretty behind the curve if it doesn't hit you that this is our front office until 2014

i like kerry wood a lot, but i am surprised to see so many people saying they are thrilled to have him around since the team is bad and they need something to root for. is the presence of an old middle reliever really going to change how much you enjoy watching a bad team? are you really going to turn on csn for three hours and sit around hoping your favorite player happens to get in so you can see a strikeout, a walk, and two pop flies?

Cespedes: (age 25): .333/.424/.667, 33 HR in 354 AB Jose Abreu (age 24): .453/.597/.986, 33 HR in 212 AB :shock: Sweet Jesus. Get It done, Theo and Jed. Were those numbers put up in the same league that Cespedes plays in? Why hasn't there been any talk of this guy during the offseason? Probably because you can't just go into Cuba and sign anyone you want. after the cubs get this guy they should sign jose bautista, i heard he's really good too GET IT DONE, THEO AND JED
