  1. If Yamamota pitches another dominant game and Dodgers win next 2 without Ohtani doing much I could see Yamamota getting it.
  2. It always seems to end up as Cubs talk.
  3. He really hasn't pitched that great in the post season. He has been solid, but Torontos offense sure makes his pitching look good
  4. I wouldnt mind if he brought his sucky skills to the Cubs
  5. Why do I get the feeling he is hitting his career peak this post season? Not that I think he is going to under perform going forward, just that he is never going to be better in a more important setting.
  6. Ive noticed my ND dislike has cooled quite a bit. I am really hoping they make the playoffs and keep out an SEC after thought.
  7. I fell asleep and woke up in like the 14th, fell back asleep and woke up to celebrating Dodgers
  8. I would love him at MSU. After they go for Franklin:)
  9. Michigan St is the dumbest team. But a late score and they cover 2 weeks in a row. Its going to be messy this year for sure. I think. I think there is going to be SEC school or ND who finishes 10-2 and does not make it
  10. Looks like a great play now
  11. Well me too:)..... GO WINGS!!
  12. As much as I pretend to try.....I cannot give 2 poops about the Blue Jackets
  13. Looks like 3B is not really a thing. Everything I've read leads me to a hard no. Even as a Justin Turner replacement, I think the Cubs can find a cheaper just as good option.
  14. I understand its the Dodgers and they are 9-1 so far this post season. Also, have rather fresh SP. I just dont get why they are so heavily favored. Except for SP, Toronto is just as good or better in most other areas. I really wouldnt be completely surprised if Toronto wins or even wins in 5 or 6.
  15. They are still +145 to win their division. That is crazy for a 1-5 team.
  16. I really want him next year. Not so excited after that
  17. And it really doesnt matter if another team wants him and he is willing to go. Its just money and these college football donors keep throwing more and more at them
  18. I actually would love the Cubs to offer him a 5 yr deal with 45 mill the first year and 30 million the next 4. 5 years 165 million. With an opt out after year 1 and 3
  19. You would have to trade something to get a TOR starter. Assuming Ballesteros and Caisse are part of the replacing Tucker plan. What else is left? I think Shaw is playing 140 games at 3rd next year and any pitching improvements will be FAs. Which from a Cub fan perspective means finding value in the secondary market
  20. I dont mind the current playoff system. But I would start the Division series on Friday and only have 1 off day in the Division series. That would make winning the WC in 2 games a bigger priority, give the teams with a bye a bigger edge and prioritize starting pitching more
  21. You should watch Illinois a few years ago when Walter's was DC
  22. He was very impressive vs the Reds and Phillies also.
  23. Snell, Yamamoto, Ohtani and Glasnow are going to be hard to beat for anyone....especially a team that is scrapping together outs from anywhere. Watching this post season makes it obvious the Cubs have to get better at starting pitching.....AND have them healthy and pitching good in October
  24. I agree with your point on his weight. I disagree with his ability to play 1st
