  1. are we moving to a 3-4?
  2. give me that other big 10 bookend
  3. really hope they don't take chandler jones.
  4. I think I'd take DeCastro before Reiff. i think we're good at guard, and deep. need a tackle that can pass-block.
  5. if Reiff is there, you take him.
  6. in fact, i demand you stop liking the nfl right [expletive] now before you jinx the league and they break up
  7. Wow. You actually managed to make the draft sound pretty [expletive] to me. yeah, i kinda hate the [expletive] nfl now
  8. left tackle from purdue
  9. I would hesitate, big time. I would need to figure out a way to get their 2nd round pick in that situation. Forte, 19 and 50 for 4 and 35? I don't know. Forte and the 19 should be worth a lot. And they'd be coming out of this draft down a RB. yeah, good point on the 2nd round pick.
  10. if the vikings take claiborne, what would you all say to the bears trading forte and the 19 for the 4th and taking kalil? i don't know if they can get a better return than a pro-bowl running back and a first rounder for it.
  11. I saw him maybe a half dozen times and was never impressed. But I don't have a strong track record of judging college QBs and their chances in the NFL. i said i didn't think he was that good and got flamed on multiple occasions.
  12. Mayock thinks he will be the best defensive player out of this draft. still don't like it.
  13. I wouldn't just want any LB taken at 19 though. My point is specifically if a guy who many have as a top 10 talent just happens to drop to them, there's no reason to pass because of position depth. If he does fall it could easily mean a run on other positions has hit the value of those positions as well. i'd rather pick a WR than any other position besides DE. if we pick a guy like wright or floyd, that turns our offense into a strength, and we can use that to compensate for the decline our defense is going to suffer over the next few years. rather than plug the holes on the defense to maintain the status quo, we should get more playmakers (or maybe build a nice wall around cutler) on the offensive side of the ball. then, as you're dominating in the passing game from year to year, you go to rebuild your defense.
  14. i'm really not ok with taking chandler jones at 19, at all. i will literally be sick if we pick him. he is a slower gaines adams, make sure to get the echo done before you put him on the field.
  15. No, it really isn't. It's not about waiting for Urlacher to retire. This is the NFL. Teams decide when they want to move on from a player, not the other way around. If a LB of value is available at the slot it would be perfectly reasonable to make the selection. The defense can use help everywhere. moving on from urlacher would also be monumentally stupid if they don't see any red flags in terms of decline. the defense does not need help at linebacker, it needs help in the pass rush and that's where the value is going to have the largest effect. at this point, there is just isn't a huge leap in value there for the team.
  16. yes, it really is
  17. he looks like somebody doing a character on snl
  18. You don't say..... http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nba-ball-dont-lie/nba-ratings-improved-season-185805096.html they must have heard that lebron would be dancing around this year
  19. No he isn't. He's competent enough to hold his own in the short-term. But he's very far from very good. He's completely replaceable. who cares if he's replaceable? the position is unimportant. he absolutely does all you can ask for at SAM and plays it as well as anyone could. replacing him with a first round linebacker and waiting for urlacher to retire is an indefinite waste of a pick. kuechly isn't going to perform much better at the position and as i said, could get sidetracked in his development. drafting a linebacker in the first is moronic.
  20. Not that I've heard, but it's probably because he's still not signed, and its draft day. Some people would rather trade him than deal with a potential hold out. Ah, ok. I've got no problem trading him for the right return, I just hadn't heard anything about it actually being a legit possibility. i just said i think that he could definitely be traded today.
  21. nobody watches the NBA anyway. it's like cricket
  22. okay, swap fleener with kendall wright, take dwight bentley in the third and evan rodriguez in the 5th. 1. mercilus 1. wright 2. zeitler 3. bentley 4. forston 5. rodriguez 6. herron 7. burfict
  23. you're probably right about jenkins, but burfict will get drafted.
  24. yeah, i don't know.
  25. If it means trading him to Cleavland so we can draft Richardson, count me in. Teams that might want him: Jets Tampa Bay Redskins Miami or we get cleveland's second pick and take coby fleener, then dan herron in the 6th instead of hanna. 1. mercilus 1. fleener 2. zeitler 3. jenkins 4. forston 5. dennard 6. herron 7. burfict unlikely, but i can dream
