  1. Didn't play much because the defense sat on the field most of the time. Not sure how many starters the Titans were actually playing and for how long. He looked good the last drive but everyone was likely out by then and was aided by penalties. I think most decent NFL QB's can torch these backups in preseason, it's why I put little stock in preseason. Nick Foles is doing it now. Probably shouldn’t put any stock in preseason like you said but the 1st and 2nd teams getting noticeably destroyed in TOP in all 3 games is interesting Yeah I think the O-Line and defense are legit question marks based on how they played against top guys. They both took major steps back last year and the only legit change that was made was losing Kyle Fuller and Charles Leno and replacing Pagano with an internal candidate. It sucks because even if Fields is good, the Bears probably wasted their last window and it's going to take time to get back to where they were, and do so without a first round pick next year.

  3. This offense is better now than it was before the trades and has been for awhile
  4. And losses are better than wins. A top 6 or so pick can really help.
  5. Jake Jewell is committed to losing
  6. Not sure if 11 runs is even enough against the Rockies road adventure
  7. Got to credit this Rockies tank
  8. They cleared the stands due to lightning
  9. Ian Happ finally woke up when losses were better than wins
  10. This is some impressive tanking by the Rockies. Holy hell.
  11. Bote did all he could, but it wasn’t enough. Man is Bote terrible. And his contract is even worse.
  12. Shut him down. No point to trying to get him back this year.
  13. Honest question, what is the potential negative repercussions of starting fields before he’s ready. Development of bad habits? Loss of confidence? I feel like on the job training would be more valuable than having him watch and learn from umm Andy Dalton. If he’s the best QB or at least has the highest ceiling I’m struggling to understand how we can “break him” by playing him too soon. But maybe I’m missing some obvious reasons why playing him too soon would be bad Every QB is different. You can have a Justin Herbert get thrown out there at last second notice and win Rookie of the Year or DeShone Kizer and Josh Rosen get thrown to the wolves on an awful team and lose all confidence right away. Or you can have Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes sit a year or two and become franchise guys. From what I've read from Bears beat guys, Fields hasn't really separated himself from Dalton much at all this camp and despite Dalton's poor play so far in preseason, he's still playing with no Robinson, Mooney, Montgomery, Kmet against #1 guys while the Bears are hiding Fields against #3's.
  14. I'm fine with Dalton starting week 1. I think the next 10 years of Fields is more important than the first few weeks of this season. The Bears aren't beating the Rams with Dalton or Fields so if he's not ready, don't rush him. Fields has shown me some flashes so far against the weak competition he's faced but there's things he's done that shows he might not be ready yet including not picking up a blitz today.
  15. Fields played well against 3rd stringers but I haven't heard much about him dominating training camp at all from the Bears beat guys. Most say he's been even if not slightly worse than Dalton. And Dalton is the definition of a mediocre NFL QB.
  16. You know Dempster is gonna be on there before Sosa
  17. Lance Browzdowski Good call, they actually did a video podcast with a Brennen Davis interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLggJG8skp0

  20. Is Ross trying to break Rucker's arm?
  21. Benetti was doing the Olympics and then got COVID. They had some other guy filling in last week.
  22. Still don't get why nobody wanted Davies. I mean he sucks but Cubs could have given him away for free.
  23. Suarez is like Javier Baez if he was completely awful
  24. 0-0 in the 2nd, Justin Steele is pitching
