    Is it really hard to figure out why people want to trade Jones? Yes, some of it is bad contract hangover, but he overproduced expectations last season and contracts went sky-high this offseason, so his deal is actually pretty good in this market now. The real reason is because there's a logjam in the outfield, and Jones is the most movable piece available. You have Murton and Pie, who need more playing time, and Jones is playing on and off in both of their available positions. What else are you going to trade? Floyd? Ward? you won't get anything for them. Pie? Murton? that's defeating the purpose.

    Of course not. But that wasn't the point. The point is that there's still 4/5ths of a season to go, and so it's rather illogical to declare one team definitively better than the other based on current records. The Brewers have been better to date, of course. The rest is yet to be deterimined.

    Anybody remember the Reds' record this time last year? 21-11. The Brewers may be better than the Cubs, but that's not proven over less than 1/5 of the season.

    Lou gives it quite a bit too, and I am never a fan. I wonder how the Cubs are hitting on 3-0 counts this year. According to ESPN.com: .000/.880/.000/.880. They are 0-2 with 22 walks. Link That's a hilarious line.

    At this point, I'm kinda hoping that my boy Sam Olajubutu goes undrafted and the Dolphins sign him. I'm also a bit surprised that Keith Jackson Jr. hasn't been picked. Three Hogs went in the first 50 picks, and then none since.

    Dolphins selected ILB Kelvin Smith from Syracuse, who at least has a fun story: He's the godson of Seth Joyner and the nephew of Keith Bullock. Then...a punter.

    At this point in the draft, nobody's drafting for need. If there's a guy you think has the ability to play in the NFL, you grab him. Not really the point.

    Okay, so that wasn't wrong? The Dolphins did just get a 300+ lb fullback? Wow. And now they pick Drew Mormino, C, Central Michigan. This draft is bizarre. Why another C? I know he can play guard, but it's a little weird to pick two centers in one draft.

    The Dolphins just picked ANOTHER Hawaiian. That's two Hawaiians and a Samoan in the last four picks. Clearly Cam Cameron knows what wins football games in the NFL. I'm praying something is wrong with the profile, though. They have him listed as a 6'0", 348 lb fullback. Say wha?

    Morris and Minor are the only backups there? The 2-headed monster is becoming the new "thing" in the NFL, and Booker is a good change of pace for Brown. Pretty sure neither is there anymore--Morris signed with New England. Not sure what happened with Minor, but I didn't think he was going to return. I like that he's an excellent receiver, and I guess they need somebody to spell Ronnie and Ricky.

    damn, I got him at the bottom of the third round in the nsbb draft I know he did great in the ACC and all...but I would just have a hard time trusting a 5'9 LB in the NFL. Those guys are just too big and strong. Coakley and Nguyen weren't too bad for the Cowboys. Sam Mills wasn't bad, either.
