  1. wonder where Joey Porter's gonna end up.
  2. I hadn't been in this part of the board since sports have been depressing. Anyway, I'll take co-ownership of the Dolphins.
  3. I think Arkansas went 0-13 on 3rd down conversions. What the hell was going on in that game?
  4. This game is awful.
  5. Surprisingly, that fumble on the opening kickoff resulted in nothing other than a waste of about 3 minutes.
  6. I hate sports.
  7. I knew Arkansas had 2 starters suspended for the Liberty Bowl, but I didn't know ECU also had 2 players suspended:
  8. Going down, hopefully. :D)
  9. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/college/chi-17-big-ten-brite-dec17,0,3820862.story Nice to know they've got Kevin Garnett on top of things.
  10. But his 4 TDs, with one of them to Collie, helped my team a heck of a lot more. :P This is true. I still have CJ to counter that, though. :D Which hopefully won't be much of a counter. :p
  11. Swap the "guys" and "women" in that sentence, and the answer is a resounding yes. Not that that's pertinent to the question.
  12. No offense, but I really hope the Titans don't win out. They can win 2/3 though, I'm cool with that.
  13. Addendum: my Dolphins have to deal with both of these guys the next two weeks. Awesome.
  14. Pitt/Penn State every year (or at least most years) would be fun to watch. Exactly. They also play similar styles in the big sports. They play physical hard nosed basketball and football and are very good at both. It would be a big coo for the Big Ten to take over the Pittsburgh market. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2181/1996760647_084422a590.jpg
  15. Gotta love it. one of my fantasy teams has Chris Johnson...thought I was good. Nope, opponent has Andre Johnson. Johnsons cancel each other out.
  16. nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
  17. the Battle for the Boot has been an amazing series the last several years.
  18. Joe Adams is lucky he still has a head. Holy crap.
  19. Spoke too soon?
  20. Yay, it's Good Mallett!
  21. How did the Hornets get so bad so quickly? In other news, the Lakers are tall and good. I just realized that 10 of the Lakers' 13 players are 6'6" or taller.
  22. Curry has really impressed me, especially his court vision and passing. I thought he'd be the epitome of a combo guard...effective, but too small to be an ideal 2 while not enough of a distributor to be an ideal 1. He's doing a fine job of proving me wrong. Last year was a good draft year for point guards, with Rose and Westbrook looking like future stars, Chalmers looking like a solid young player, Augustin showing some upside, and Bayless still up in the air. This year looks like it's going to be even better.
  23. The Bulls have played one singular blowout game, a 118-90 loss in Boston on day 2 of the season. And won their last 3 games by a combined 6 points.
  24. How do you think UCA will do in the playoffs? Oh, wait
  25. If Ariza being quick surprised you, you didn't know anything about Ariza. Ariza is a monster athlete with long arms, crazy hops, and tremendous speed and quickness for a 6'8" man. He disrupts passing lanes and generally wreaks havoc on defense away from the ball. He's not a fantastic man defender, but he's good, and he was improving as of last year. He scored most of his points with the Lakers on lobs, breaks, putbacks, pick & rolls, and the occasional jumper, so I wasn't expecting him to put up big scoring numbers based on ability to create his own shot. he's been surprising so far in that regard. Most surprising is his taking over 6 3's a game and making 46%. I figured he could probably hit 33-36% or so of them picking his spots--enough to be a threat when open, but not somebody you check for as a perimeter threat--but he's been fantastic from downtown. I don't think he'll stay at 46% long term, but it looks like he's put even more work into his shooting and can be an actual weapon from the outside...which will just open up his inside game that much more.
