  1. Seemed more appropriate.
  2. They put him in the mix.
  3. And so, the Chad Henne era begins.
  4. Who knew stating the obvious would be against the rules?
  5. That's the way it should always be.
  6. Well, those worries are gone!
  7. TOOLS He didn't say "describe the Cubs' front office."
  8. I think there might have been. Warp can tell you more accurately than I can, though. The biggest thing Mallett showed Saturday was great arm strength and accuracy - especially deep. The consistency (to improve the completion percentage) needs to improve, though. Mallett was 17 of 23 at one point. The last quarter and a half, something was going on that I couldn't figure out. there were a couple of drops, but not enough to make for 5 of the last 16. I wish I had an explanation for that.
  9. GameCast says 14:53. And they didn't have any short field scoring drives or defense/special team scores either (their best field position on a scoring drive was their own 27 yard line). Their 27 points came on drives of 80, 48, 44, 79, and 80 yards. I think that game was a microcosm of the differences between those two teams. Colts fans are screaming about how badly the team got outplayed tonight. But they really didn't...Miami will dominate many teams physically (and a team like the Colts most of all) but their lack of big plays hurts them badly. It feels terrible when the other team is running down your throat, but Miami also had to settle for 4 long field goal attempts tonight, and then when they needed to come back in the last few minutes their strategy that they are built around worked against them. Also, they played like copulating morons at the end. But yeah, that's it. Both teams played their game. Indy played their game better.
  10. I'm still in complete disbelief at that final drive. I can't count the number of idiotic moves made during that drive...and they STILL win the game if Ginn figures out how to close his hands together.
  11. What just happened? That was the worst clock management I've ever seen. How do you get the ball back with 3 and a half minutes to go and come away with 2 plays for 6 yards and a timeout before the 2 minute warning?
  12. So on another board I'm on, somebody is arguing east coast bias keeping in the polling keeping Oregon and UCLA down. Okay...I can feel him on Mizzou and Pitt having not really played anybody, but...how do you diss georgia and iowa for playing nobody when you're endorsing UCLA, whose best win is against a 1-2 Tennessee team, and their schedule's w/l record is 3-9? I'd feel him on Oregon if they hadn't tried their damnedst to lose to a pretty bad Purdue team...
  13. I want to win my fantasy match, but I want the Dolphins to win more. I don't know how it's possible to get both, but I'm worried I'm gonna get neither. It'd take Wayne and Addai beasting, but not beasting TOO much, and the rest of the Colts' offense fizzling, and the Dolphins offense beasting on the Indy defense. Yeah, I might just go to bed early tonight. :-))
  14. Yeah, one and done would surprise me. Especially with the potential for a strong QB class this year - Hiller, Bradford, McCoy, Tebow (?), Devlin. You mean, skipped-the-draft-and-is-now-not-playing Bradford? Mallett has beyond prototypical size and strength and a great arm. If he performs at a level that's worthy of Heisman consideration, it'll be a consideration for certain, especially looking at Bradford right now.
  15. So I'm a Dolphin fan...and I have a 20 point deficit in my last fantasy match and 2 Colts on my team. No, it gets better: I have 2 Colts on my team AND the Dolphin D.
  16. South Carolina had a great game against UGA's defense too. I'd want to see Mallet do this some more, but I think he has an outside chance. True. He needs a great game against Bama to get on the radar. More frightening is the possibility of him being one-and-done with Arkansas if he's good enough for Heisman consideration.
  17. Wonder if Mallett has a chance of getting in that hunt.
  18. So yeah, that was disappointing, but not so much for the loss as for the pathetic performance in pass defense. That's not a good sign for the forthcoming season. Arkansas still has one of the best offenses in the country, so that should get them into a bowl game, but the schedule is not friendly.
  19. That was possibly the worst punt I've ever seen.
  20. Well, Raisin, Smith hasn't done much for your fantasy team so far...but Mallett's doing okay.
  21. d) give up a long touchdown on 4th down after a good stop with poor tackling e) get some more penalties What a polar 1st and 2nd quarter.
  22. How to kill momentum: a) back to back 3 and outs b) get your starting middle linebacker ejected from the game c) give up an 80 yard run right at where said linebacker would normally be
  23. Greg Childs. Joe Adams. Jarius Wright. DJ Williams. Ryan Mallett. Good luck stopping them.
  24. Way to spell Sterling Sharpe wrong.
