  1. I'm in.
  2. Arkansas is the weirdest team ever.
  3. On the flip side, Brandon Spikes ran a 5.06.
  4. Pretty doubtful at this point.
  5. So you're saying this is an...Urban legend?
  6. I'd give up a 2nd if im a team needing wr help. Miami should be all over this. At a glance, it's a great fit. The Dolphins have 2 2nd round picks, Harvin's still on his rookie deal, and the Dolphins need a receiver, particularly one who is a threat downfield. It gets more complicated with deeper exploration. Harvin is more of a slot receiver. The Dolphins have Davone Bess, who is a pretty quality slot guy, already. Their greatest need is on the perimeter. At this very moment in time, their 1 and 2 perimeter receivers are Marlon Moore and Rishard Matthews. (Hartline is a free agent.) Harvin doesn't really help with that, and while Harvin is an improvement over anything on the roster, you would still be adding to a strength. Assuming they resign Hartline and trade for Harvin, they still lack a dependable perimeter threat and now have a pretty small receiving corps overall. It's not a move I would frown on, but it's definitely not an all-encompassing solution to their needs.

  8. Freezus sent him $750 and two sorostitutes. He will be signing with us later today. USC is really falling apart lately. It's pretty ugly. Alex Collins also apparently isn't signing his LOI to Arkansas. Some drama there. The story going around is that his mom ran away with his LOI so he couldn't sign it. Edit: see this was already brought up. Apparently she doesn't want him to go so far away. Still, if you're gonna pull that stunt, why do you let your son go on ESPN and announce he's going to Arkansas two days earlier?
  9. How so? Chris Price is my name.
  10. Chris Price is saying that Ford's personal preference is Tennessee, but he's got a lot of influential people around him pushing Auburn. He's announcing at 11 a.m. Wednesday and Price said he didn't think anybody would know anything for sure until then. Jay Graham - Tennessee's best recruiter and the guy responsible for North's commitment and Levenberry's very serious interest - is a huge Ford fan and recruiting him very hard. Tennessee's also in the top 2 for RB Jabo Lee, but he's a 3 star and I'm guessing is primarily a fallback in case we miss on Ford. You have no idea how weird it was reading this.
  11. that video has 880 views but over 3000 likes. Youtube video view counts stall at certain numbers temporarily.
  12. Awesome. Freaking. Name. http://nameoftheyear.blogspot.com/2009/04/barkevious-mingo-lord-master-2009-name.html
  13. I could be wrong, but I believe they're already considered to be in (or maybe around) that range. Nice seasons I'd have to think would put them closer to solidly top 25. All three have been top 50 in every ranking I've seen anywhere. I'm not sure I've seen any of them lower than 40, actually.
  14. Should QB size really be that big a deal anymore? I know it is among scouts, but with the increase in spread offenses and mobile QBs, you're not seeing quarterbacks just drop straight back and try to look over linemen anymore. Now they're scrambling out, moving around and getting out from behind the linemen. At that point, size is pretty irrelevant as long as you can get enough force behind your throws. By the way, I'm not questioning you or anything, it's more that your question caused me to have this thought. Right, I understand how effective he can be when scrambling, but it seems like even when he stands in the pocket he's making strong, accurate throws. Maybe it's been a myth that quarterbacks need to be tall. Or maybe being tall is still a pretty huge advantage but not being tall isn't a death sentence.
  15. It basically comes down to his walk rate. If it's reasonable, he's good, if it's not, he's bad.
  16. It's actually not, at all, and I know this because I read the posts before I posted.
  17. I understand what you're getting at, but I don't really see it that way. Overall what matters is the net effect a given player has on your team. Obviously, there are cases where you can cover up one guy's deficiencies (i.e. maybe a super awesome CF can cover for the guys next to him), but by and large, what matters is how many net runs that player gets you. Doesn't really matter where it happens (although, obviously, with offensive metrics being more reliable, offense is easier to predict/measure the effect of). You may not see it that way, but I'm sure most of the GMs do. Most of the DHs in the AL were playing regularly somewhere in the field before they became a DH. And this is relevant because....? Most of them are (and have been) one dimensional players their whole careers. The Adam Dunns of the world were butchers at every position they ever played. And this is relevant because...?

  19. I could see them giving him up to 4 years if the money is reasonable enough, or giving him a bit more annually on a shorter contract.
  20. Hey guys, you know our QB that we don't want to keep so badly that we're considering cutting him even though we would still have to pay him 8 million dollars anyway and it would count 17 million against the cap? The guy with 13 TDs and 17 picks? The guy who has never completed 57% of his passes in his career? Who wants to give us something for him? Everybody line up. Yeah, I see a lot of leverage there.
  21. Well, The Cubs look to have the best 9-man rotation in the bigs if everything works out.
  22. Yeah, Dallas aint exactly hurting for nouveau riche cokehead douchers and bleached blondes with boobjobs either. Seriously.
