  1. LOL. He keeps adding a disclaimer that it's a reach while you say stupid [expletive] like Long's a third rounder. I realize as a Chicago management lapdog you have trouble with these discussions so I will just pretend you make any sense at all. The third round comment was a freaking intentionally hyperbolic comparison to the equivalent level of over draft and all the moronic commentary about how he was next in line and they had to take him or risk losing him in the second. If you can't understand the simple things there's no use To be fair, it gets really hard to tell when you're being pretend stupid and being for real stupid when that accounts for pretty much 100% of your posts.
  2. i'm not even a bears fan. your position seems to be that fans of a team shouldn't get upset when the team they follow makes a selection that the vast majority of experts in the field disagree with. like when people were mad that the cubs drafted hayden simpson; i mean, none of us had seen him play so who were we to criticize? maybe he turned out awesome, who knows??? Or you can read the text that's on your screen and not just make [expletive] up. That's also an option. Or you can try to understand basic concepts and not be a dolt. I see you haven't answered my question, which is to be expected. But enlighten me, what "basic concepts" am I not understanding?

  4. I don't have to form my own opinion on a player to know if this is a reach or not. I can read what other qualified people whose opinions I respect for one reason or another think and then I can decide whether I'm happy or angry based on that. So you would have to have some knowledge of that player, even if it's second hand, to form an opinion. Which is why I asked what he knew about him, because basically everything he had said about him was wrong outside of his name. Holy crap, do you have to sniff glue to be a Bears fan?
  5. What do you actually know about Kyle Long, outside of his name and the position he played in college last year? Are you positing that this pick wasn't a reach? Are you saying he was the best player available when the Bears selected? He is should help them win more games than anybody else who could have been selected? I'm positing that your opinion on what is or isn't a reach is completely worthless if you don't actually know anything about the players in question. It's really not. That's what the internet is for. Finding information about stuff you don't know about. What in the hell are you talking about?
  6. What do you actually know about Kyle Long, outside of his name and the position he played in college last year? if baseball fans can't have an opinion on the drafting of a player they haven't seen play firsthand, then pretty much nobody can criticize any selection of a high school player except for the 12 guys who fly/drive around the country watching them. pretty much all of the people who make a living evaluating college football players and assessing their draft stock think that the pick was a reach. that's plenty of reason to think it was a poor selection, even if you haven't watched every game the guy has played. Yep, that's exactly what I said. There is certainly no margin between being an amateur scout and having a hernia because your team somebody besides the 5-10 players you likely actually know about. You guys are terrible, and it's hilarious.

  9. WHY DO THE BEARS KEEP DRAFTING PARAPLEGICS I DON'T UNDERSTAND
  10. I CAN'T BELIEVE THE BEARS TOOK A 58 YEAR OLD GAS STATION ATTENDANT IN THE FIRST ROUND!
  11. I HAVE NO IDEA WHO ANY OF THESE PLAYERS ARE BUT BAD PICK BECAUSE HELL I DON'T KNOW BUT I SURE LOVE CRYING
  12. Gotta applaud them? Are you kidding? A run on oline and the bears piss their pants taking a 3rd rounder with so many better players on the board. God, you guys are such drama queens. Long wouldn't have been around anywhere near the 3rd.
  13. I picked Long with #42 in he mock draft, so I'm high on him. He's a good guard and can probably play tackle, too. Great mobility. He's a bit raw, but he's also only been playing OL for two years. Ton of upside.
  14. Wowowowow, Manuel?
  15. I bet they take Nassib. You beat my edit.
  16. Geno's totally going to the Bills, unless they throw caution to the wind and go Nassib.
  17. True. But against lesser competition and better talent around him. That clearly doesn't bridge the entire gap, but it does some. It doesn't to any significant degree. We're talking about a 16% difference in completion percentage in their last years. Locker would have to be slingshotting the ball down the field with his sack to justify that big of a difference.
  18. He was heavily rumored to be going 4 or 5, and the trade only cost a second. Too many good rushers in this draft to give a 2nd rounder for a guy who doesn't stand ou from the rest. You and I have very different ideas of standing out, then. He was by far my favorite available pass rusher, outside of Carradine.

  20. New Dolphins uniforms http://www.nike.com/us/en_us/c/us-football/stories/2013/04/dolphins-jersey-reveal
  21. This is where I mention that JJ Watt was a 2 star recruit.
  22. Now I'm really confused. I thought we were talking about Kiper. He also has Fluker going #12 to Miami. I didn't actually check the link because of insider, but apparently crazy is contagious. EDIT: Looks like the confusion originated with me somehow mistaking McShay for Mayock. It's still ridiculous taht multiple mockers have the Dolphins picking Fluker at 12, though, and Warmack isn't much better.
  23. There are a lot of extremely bad picks on this list. DJ Fluker at 12 to the Dolphins is just brutal. There's no way that will happen. @seankjensen Agent @DerykGilmore of @PrioritySports tells me he's hearing client D.J. Fluker will be a top-10 pick. So perhaps 4 OTs go in top 10. The Dolphins run a zone blocking system. There's no way they take a right tackle who's a poor scheme fit at #12. Ah, I thought you were complaining about him being taken that early. I think it's an overdraft (Fluker is probably a late first talent and at best my #8 lineman overall behind Joeckel, Fisher, Cooper, Warmack, Johnson, Pugh, and possibly Warmack, Watson, and Long) but there's probably going to be a run on linemen early, so teams are going to do what they have to do or miss out on a whole range of available linemen. But Mayock is the guy who waits until the last minute to do a mock so he only has to do it once, and to be mock a player that team can't even use just wrecks his credibility. It's like mocking a 4-3 end to a 3-4 team.
