  1. 14 homers and 16 doubles in 470 at-bats for Murton?
  2. ...but it's a soft .300
  3. I respectfully disagree, Cuse. The bastard is a columnist on a legitimate, major sports site. Discussion of his ramblings gives us valuable insight into the heart of a Sox fan and the sham that is ESPN. For those reasons, it's worthy of consideration, IMHO. Agreed. You cannnot simply dismiss his racist ramblings as such when he's a regular columnist for the most widely-read sports site in the US.
  4. I realize that as Cubs fans, we're all hurting and jealous of the Sox' recent success. But could we please limit the amount of socioeconomic rips on people from the South Side? These references to "ghetto trash", cocaine and meth use/fabrication, and gun usage make me embarrassed right now to be a Cubs fan. This comes across as elitist, classist, and racist. I have no problem with hating Sox fans because they're rooting for what we believe is the wrong team, but to do so simply because they generally don't live in the nicest area of Chicago is prejudicial and uncalled for. =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>
  5. The odds of us getting fleeced by the Braves are very, very good.
  6. Agreed. This line should have been in there: Buck: Oh my dear lord, Morgan Ensberg just touched his jockstrap and spit! I apologize for the fact that that was shown to you and your families! May he be suspended and fined! A despicable, disgusting act!
  7.   I wonder if Brian's dad and the AD mentioned the awful fumble call late in the game deep in UM's territory or the missed safety call when their kick returner muffed the kickoff, then proceeded to kick the ball as it lay on the 1-yardline before recovering it in the endzone. Instead, the officials ruled it a touchback. The only reason I'm not going to start a pointless, drawn out argument with you, again, is because you have that Arrested Development video clip in your signature. It's frankly mesmerizing.
  8. ok the honking has subsided. time to try and sleep.
  9. As many know, I live a block north of Wrigley. I was out playing ice hockey until now, but since I've gotten home 10 minutes ago there's been fairly constant honking. Something tells me I won't be sleeping so well tonight.
  10. I have no idea. nor do I. Go drink beer and enjoy this one. That's a foregone conclusion. Beer is ready to go. Penn State has proved that for the first time in years they have depth, which should be enough to overcome Derrick Williams' injury. The game is at home, so It really ought to be a blow out. 8-1 wouldn't be too bad going into the "Big 10 championship game" vs. Wisconsin in 2 weeks. I predict that if PSU manages to beat Purdont and Wisconsin, there will be a ton of Nittany Lion fans in East Lansing for the season finale on November 19. i might consider going.
  11. I have no idea. nor do I. Go drink beer and enjoy this one.
  12. Agreed. I wish Dusty could get even a little fired up and take it to the team sometimes. Edited to also agree w/Indiff's last post  A Dusty outburst would be tremendous. Maybe he doesn't care enough to get mad? he's embarassed because last time he had a public tantrum it resulted in one of the funniest fark photoshop threads ever.
  13. It takes one time to reverse the trend. :D I hope so 1908....I really do. I hope that Mr. Hendry saw a certain second baseman playing for the Sox. :D He did hit that home run that one time. What scares me is that you might be closer to being right then you know. I know. Scares the hell out of me, too.
  14. It takes one time to reverse the trend. :D I hope so 1908....I really do. I hope that Mr. Hendry saw a certain second baseman playing for the Sox.
  15. Gary Hughes would burn the data, banish Fred, and destroy every computer in the office rather than open his mind up to something other than subjective observation. Gary Hughes doesn't allow computers in the office.
  16. at least brad ausmus is up...
  17. I would've let him stay considering Wandy Rodriguez is probably the Stros' game 5 starter. Not that this series will make it to 5.
  18. Widger should take all the way.
  19. Enough with the 55 footer, Astacio
  20. sharpened and then used a lot, or just a wooden cylinder? Whichever would splinter better upon entry.
