    Gregg actually tends to wait until there's 2 outs to blow it. I'm calling a Prado walk followed by a 600 foot Francoer homerun on a fastball that he shouldn't see. While the game is over, I am still going to point out that if Francoeur homered, there would be something illegal going on in this game, since he was pulled for a PR.

    Why? It might actually get us an ok live arm from A ball that way. And it's not Rich's fault that there was no spot here. Yeah, Cubs fans should be rooting for him to do well since it'll improve the return we get for him. I've seen people talk about getting "bothing at all," and that's not the case. If he has a good year this year, I wonder what type of prospect we'd be looking at. I am pretty sure that when the trade was announced, we were told that how Rich Hill performed would not change the PTBNL. The group of players that could be selected have already been determined. I could be misremembering, though. According to the Baltimore re-cap of the game:

    Gameday has the winds blowing out. The flags look like they are blowing out. Posters here have said the wind is blowing out. So McCarver thinks its blowing in.

    Pierre stepped out of the batter's box and offered at a pitch low and in, which ended up hitting him. The ump correctly called it a strike. Meanwhile, Pierre was safe on that one. I'm still confused on why they sent Furcal back to first. If Pierre swung and the ball got away, that should still be a wild pitch. So they either called a foul ball or some kind of batter's interference? I know his foot was outside the box but I don't think they called him for that. And you're correct, Pierre was also safe at first. That was potentially 2 breaks for the Cubs this inning. When the ball hit Pierre, the play was dead, and the runners have to return to their original bases.

    The Nationals pitcher did this several times with the go-ahead run on third and 2 outs, until finally he got one pass the catcher and the run scored.
