  1. Please don't let the Bears' stench get on Rose.
  2. NFL Game Center just made another mistake an showed the Bears scoring a TD. It was the Pats again, right?
  3. Again? When's the last time that its happened? We're not going to win this game either. McCarthy should be fired at halftime. um, remember the game that rodgers suffered a concussion and they played him the next week? but it looks like they finally made the right decision. He passed all of the tests leading up to that week and had a really good game against Miami. i think cutler did too and he was held out. Yeah, but the Bears were playing Carolina.
  4. Reports say that Favre says he probably won't Favre on Favreday.
  5. I wouldn't be surprised if its in Detroit again.
  6. Already posted. Gano just missed another short FG in Washington.
  7. I hope it's televised somewhere. NFL Network maybe? I care a hell of a lot more about that game than I do Ravens-Texans on Monday night. I believe that NFL rules say that the game can only be broadcast in local markets. That's how it was a couple years ago when the Texans game was pushed to Monday night due to the storm down there.
  8. Wasn't this argument also "used" during the Orton vs. Grossman days? (Orton just wins, he should be starting!)
  9. I guess we'll have to root for NY when they play GB to help with the division. Does NO play anybody other than Atlanta the rest of the way? STL, @BAL, @ATL, TB And I wouldn't count TB out of it, since they get @WAS, DET, SEA, and then end with @NO... they can easily be 10-5 going into that last week, and if the Bears end up 11-5, TB gets the WC spot (assuming GB wins the North).
  10. Yeah. It was more of his elbow then forearm.
  11. NFL GameCenter just went crazy and has the last two plays as: J. Cutler throws deep center to M. Forte for -1 yd. C. Tayler to the DET 40 for 20 yds.
  12. What's sad is that some Cubs fans would even get excited if it didn't happen. Like we might actually have a shot. Ha! Yea.. I am pretty sure if the Red Sox are balking at an extension price for Agon the Cubs would not be able to reach what he wants. Reportedly the Cubs would never get the chance. SD says they won't field other offers if this falls through with Boston. Yeah, that's BS. They will probably be looking for more and no contract negotiations, but saying that they're not fielding offers is just blustering.
  13. His leg has really developed some power. He's 5/7 from 50+ the last 2 years. Plus, all of his kickoffs today have be 4 yards deep in the endzone.
  14. 54, new career long for Robbie.
  15. He's going to be bad in RF, not LF (unless something tragic happens to Matt Holliday). They're moving Holliday to Right.
  16. It's gotta be hard for Tex to throw with his left hand, considering he's right handed.
  17. http://arizona.diamondbacks.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20101025&content_id=15829990&vkey=news_ari&c_id=ari Bench Coach.
  18. Is it official that it is now less embarrassing to be a Nats fan then a Cubs fan?
  19. Plus, when Hendry was last in direct control of the farm system we had the #1 farm system in baseball. I haven't been following the farm team that long. But were there any players from Hendry's farm that had some pretty good years in the majors. From that #1 class, Prior and Z. And Choi who got us Lee. And Bobby Hill who got us Aramis. And Juan Cruz, who has had a solid, though not spectacular mlb career. Was Beltran and Jones (who got us Nomah) from his system or after?
  20. Where are you seeing that Coleman will start? Cubs.com has Wells listed as the starter. EDIT: I think Coleman starts tomorrow's game. EDIT2: Richard and Coleman start tomorrow, 8/18. Today is Garland and Wells.
  21. Yeah but the umpires have to stand out in the sun the entire game. The players get to go in the dugout (and or clubhouse) between innings. And by the end of the game some of the players were probably on their second or third uniform shirt and undershirt.
  22. if the Cubs put him on waivers, I don't think he'd fall that far. He absolutely would pass through waivers. Name one team (non Yankees division) that probably has enough room to add Aramis's contract without first finding a way to shed payroll? Red Sox?
  23. Really I see him as a Matt Clement type guy. A guy who can go out and give you 7 innings, 0 ER, or a guy who will go 3 and give up 7, but usually ends up somewhere in the middle and hopefully with more towards the former. Look at Wells' July to see how good he can be over multiple starts.
