  1. It's the only game that is meaningful regardless of other games that are played earlier in the day. I know that, but given how terrible St. Louis and Seattle are, I figured NBC would find Chicago-Green Bay more enticing. I'm almost positive STL-Seattle tanks in the ratings. Am I mistaken, or did the last game mean nothing for seattle? seems that win or lose, week 17 winner still gets the division. wonder if they rested the regulars. Yeah. Last game meant nothing. And btw, according to Peter King, the NFL chooses who gets flexed in week 17, and has rules about how it is the game most likely to have playoff implications, regardless of teams.
  2. No. If the Saints lose tomorrow and next week, Eagles win their next two, and the Bears lose to the Pack, it ends up 1. Falcons 2. Eagles 3. Bears 4. Who cares 5. Pack 6. Giants If the Giants lose today, and the Eagles lose on Tuesday, the Bears clinch the 2 seed.
  3. Dang, nice punt. How about something good, O?
  4. How can the coverage unit be this stupid? Do they not know where the first down marker is?
  5. The problem with these suggestions is that they would require a coach who isn't a complete coward. Expect a short return followed (if there is time still on the clock) by a kneel.
  6. hold them down, then get it back. score one more time. Hopefully the Bears D will be inspired by the offense and pull a stop or a turnover. Huh, SF just took the lead.
  7. The Bears don't actually cover anybody.
  8. Okay, time to bench Harris. He is completely useless.
  9. The Angels apparently pulled the offer because Beltre apparently wanted a 6th year. If so, he's an idiot for not accepting the Angels' offer.
  10. I get Baltimore vs. Cleveland Living in a state with two terrible NFL teams is the worst Missouri is pretty terrible as well. NFC West and AFC west games galore. Baltimore/Cleveland or Washington/Jacksonville are my picks for the early games...if I were to watch it on TV, which I won't. To the cloud?
  11. The Roughing the Passer call that was called for Cutler was a bad call, so...
  12. Chris Harris just said no.
  13. Okay, they're stuffing the box. You're going to have to start throwing it down field.
  14. Aaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnndddddd muted.
  15. Anyone want to set an Over/Under on the # of Vikes' offensive plays before Favre is knocked out of the game? It was 3 plays in the Buffalo game, so opening line is at 3.5.
  16. lol, remember when steve philips traded him for victor zambrano? I'm not sure if you were joking or not, but it was actually Scott Kazmir that was traded for Zambrano. He also wasn't traded by Steve Philips...so I think: http://proselyytti.files.wordpress.com/2009/08/thats_the_joke.jpg
  17. With plenty of notice, or not in freezing weather. and no food or beer or foam hands Make Homer go something something.
  18. I'm only finding that the Vikes' punter, Kluwe, says that the field is unplayable, not any official ruling.
  19. I thought picking up the false start flag (which I've never seen before) was hilarious. They also flagged Indy for a defenseless receiver hit which was borderline at best but didn't flag the Jags just now for a hit on Collie that was worse. The hit on Collie was fine, it was his head bouncing off the ground that caused the injury. ? He was bent backwards by the hit. So the flag should be for illegal bending? Just because he was tackled doesn't make it an illegal hit.

  21. 6 years of Belt under team control will probably be worth more than Rowand's horrific 2012 salary. Then again, why would the Giants give away a top prospect when they need help at the position? I don't think that was a serious comment.
  22. A Balt. Sun writer says that no such offer exists.
