  1. And the Giants of course screw it up.
  2. The Cubs as a team are currently tied for the lead in the NL (2nd in ML)in walks with 19. (Tied with the Cardinals, 3 behind KC) Pitching wise, they lead the majors with 47 K's.
  3. Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Chicago Cubs April 5, 2011, 1:20PM CT, Wrigley Field Armando Galarraga RHP Ryan Dempster Well, another win, probably all thanks to the dog in the swing: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v387/sweetpeteman/36505e8f3d6a7188125b8d51d5b34a66.gif This time a sneaky dog will help: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v387/sweetpeteman/2yv3ofajpg.gif And the Cubs won't be rejected: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v387/sweetpeteman/uV6R0.gif Here's a Reliant Robin in a creek: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v387/sweetpeteman/Reliant10.gif
  4. Glad he's out of there. Mateo's not any better, although according to Gameday, two of those pitches were strikes.
  5. Oh come on. Of course, we're not going to know any of this unless they try to make him a starter, so cutting losses now is premature, but he is right in the long run. If Cashner can't stay healthy as a starter, then obviously he should be in a pen.
  6. He dropped his shoulder. That's it. Didn't rub it, didn't flop his arm around like he was trying to get it to loosen up.
  7. Cashner didn't grab anything, but Len and Bob think its fatigue in the shoulder. Cashner didn't even look into the dugout he just turned to go back to the mound, the trainer saw something came out and talked to him.
  8. In case you're curious, here's the breakdown on how many people selected which WC player: Kila Ka'aihue - 7 Freddie Freeman - 5 Starlin Castro - 4 Carlos Santana - 2 Alex Gordon - 2 Dan Johnson - 2 1: J.P. Arencibia Danny Espinosa Grady Sizemore Ian Kinsler Todd Helton Jimmy Rollins Mitch Moreland Sean Rodriguez Carlos Beltran Brandon Belt
  9. 2 Walks, Barney singled. People following on GameDay are going to be really confused, all it says is Fuku walks, Barney scores, Hill to 3rd.
  10. Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Chicago Cubs April 5, 2011, 1:20PM CT, Wrigley Field Barry Enright RHP Last Year: 6-7, 3.91 ERA, 1.27 WHIP Andrew Cashner Last Year: 2-6, 4.80 ERA, 1.564 WHIP Ha, I get Cashner's first start. Awesome. So the Cubs actually won yestaurday, mostly due to: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v387/sweetpeteman/36505e8f3d6a7188125b8d51d5b34a66.gif So for today's game he's going to keep the mojo going with a little help from his buddies: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v387/sweetpeteman/Dogs_snow_body_sledding-1.gif And hopefully the Cubs won't collapse: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v387/sweetpeteman/4implode0.gif Here's Sienna Miller in a glove box: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v387/sweetpeteman/Millerinabox-10.gif
  11. Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Chicago Cubs Monday, April 4, 1:20 PM CT, Wrigley Field Joe Saunders, LHP Last Year: 9-17, 4.47 ERA, 1.46 WHIP (with Arizona: 3-7, 4.25, 1.40) Saunders was scheduled to pitch Sunday's finale with the Rockies, but weather postponed the contest, so the D-backs left-hander will make his 2011 debut in Monday's series opener with the Cubs. Randy Wells, RHP Last Year: 8-14, 4.26, 1.40 I had the MLB.com probable pitchers thing here, but all it did was blab about wins, so I got rid of it because that crap doesn't belong in my posts. Gotta do some serious thinking to understand this one: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v387/sweetpeteman/tumblr_l7jdlgWps21qbojrgo1_400.gif Well, it's only been 3 games, but according to some the wheels are already coming off: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v387/sweetpeteman/gifko_01.gif But hopefully we will win. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v387/sweetpeteman/nph-1.gif Here's a dog in a swing: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v387/sweetpeteman/36505e8f3d6a7188125b8d51d5b34a66.gif
  12. Reed replaced Soriano in the field. Fukudome should have pinch hit for him, but that would be intelligent, and just like the last few years, the Cubs are a really stupid team.
  13. Yestaurday: 7 pitch 1st inning. Today: 7 pitch 1st ab. damn it Darwin.
  14. Not working in Chrome or FF on this computer. I had to add mlb.com to my whitelist in adblock. Don't know if that might be your problem too. yeah, adblock was the issue, but I figured that it was.
  15. Somebody was paying attention to what Resop was throwing to Colvin: Low and away on every pitch.
  16. Castro seemed to try to hold up but couldn't, because the throw seemed more like a loop then a strong throw. Also: Geovanny Soto is a bad defender, right? K for Wood.
  17. I'm not a fan because for whatever reason it doesn't work for me, and I don't really care to figure it out. ESPN's GameCast works just fine.
  18. He was originally claimed off waivers from the Rangers by the Red Sox, but they couldnt work out a deal. Rangers pulled him back, and put him back on waivers a bit later and we claimed him. That was for the Lowell deal. Later Ramirez was claimed by the Red Sox and given up by the Rangers, then the RS put him on waivers like 5 days later and the Cubs claimed him. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2011/01/cubs-claim-max-ramirez.html
  19. Geno Ford to Bradley. http://www.pjstar.com/bradleyhoops/x1405312020/Bradley-names-Kent-States-Geno-Ford-head-coach
  20. A: Albert Pujols B: Adrian Gonzalez, Carlos Gonzalez C: Carlos Pena, Ryan Braun, Mike Stanton D: Kevin Youkilis, Jason Heyward, Buster Posey, Pedro Alvarez, Chipper Jones WC will be sent.
