  1. Yep, im sure the Brewers manager has already decided this kid going to throw 90-100 pitches today since he only threw 64 in his last start. Boyd gonna really need to get it together and hold them for a couple more innings
  2. Boyd bending but not breaking, bats going to need to put up some more runs just in case
  3. 40 pitch inning, he only threw 64 pitches in his last start, if hes on a short pitch count. There's no way hes going more then 3 innings. Great start by the Cubs
  4. Gotta be the first big game for this kid this season, Cubs got him rattled a bit. Need to take an even bigger advantage on this
  5. This is good to show stability in the organization now. This also could be a precursor to getting an extension done with Tucker and possibly PCA but mainly Tucker now, and getting him signed now could allow Jed to move outfield prospects in trades. Who knows maybe Tucker said he wouldn't negotiate with them without having stability in the FO first, now they do. 🤷‍♂️
  6. He also has made some decent moves to bring in guys that are a big part of this current team.
  7. Well, you do need to secure the Front Office before trying to offer extensions to players ( Tucker, PCA). Got to show them stability there and with the team before asking them to commit long term. 🤷‍♂️
  8. Is there an actual Cubs or trade deadline thread posted, I only saw one titled but closed.
  9. Ok, didn't realize he was already rehabbing. I still dont think we will see too much of him with the Cubs this season, maybe a start or two over Horton or used as an opener to Horton if they shut Horton down or peel back his innings. But I think more likely a few games out if the bullpen before shutting him down and preparing him for a normal offseason of work to get him ready for 2026. Also, since hes rehabbiing now, would he be eligible to be used in a trade or does he have to be officially removed from the IL first before being traded if they choose to use him in a deal
  10. Assad likely wont be ready to pitch for the cubs til September after getting cleared and likely getting into a few rehab games in August. I wouldn't count on him at all for this season, other then possibly a couple relief outings in September. EDIT: never mind, didn't know he was already rehabbing 🤷‍♂️
  11. Time for the cubs to put their big boy pants on and take care of Buisness on their own. They have their top 2 starters going and Rea who has been pretty good til his last start, all the hitters are healthy, so no excuses , just go win ballgames and take back control of the Division.
  12. Gore scheduled to pitch Wednesday, so for the cubs sake, if hes the guy, then you'd like to get him no later then that day so he can be in Chicago and can pitch on Saturday which would be Brown next day to start. Then the rotation would be set up going forward... Gore Boyd Rea Imanaga Horton Of course adding a second starter via trade will replace Rea and Taillon returns can have him fill in a day to give guys an extra day off and likely limit Horton starts.. They'll also be set with having Gore Boyd and Imanaga pitching in the final Brewers series at home.
  13. Right, just dont get swept and give them any indication that they can take over the division
  14. I mean, it the CrossTown classic That a big deal 😅 Cant blame the guy for taking what could be his only opportunity to call some kind of championship clinching win for the Cubs 😅
  15. W.. Parade tonight for winning the Crosstown Classic 😅😅😅😅 Time to focus on them damn Brewers now
  16. Sad to feel that when stuff like this start to happen for someone who isnt doing well, that the end is near. 😓
  17. That where teams like this need to dig deep and realize they may be pretenders and not contenders, especially when they have multiple teams ahead of them that are also chasing.
