  1. The focus came after a poster responded in on a conversation between peanut and me about next season and which of the two between Happ and Suzuki if one were to be extended. Otherwise, all this current talk about Happ now wouldn't of gotten to where it went.
  2. I look at everything not just him having a good slug because of the 9 homers and that gives him a good ops. The guy overall is just not hitting much, and has been cold the last 3 weeks now. His slash on 4/24 was 250/357/510/868 After today its 225/.368/.457/.825 And he's striking out at a high rate of over 30% If you seen a nameless person numbers dropping like that, you'd say hes having a bad month I want him hitting as much as anyone because if he hits my favorite team has a better chance to win games, but im not going to pretend he's playing well when hes not. We dont know who will be available for the outfield in the offseason to just say they will be worse in left if it not Happ
  3. I wasn't even shitting on him with the original conversation that you chimed in on. All I said was to Peanut post about extension between Suzuki and Happ was that as of now between the two, Suzuki would be the one to get the extension because Happ hasn't earned it yet, IMO. You and others may feel hes playing good but I dont.
  4. I agree, but so far this season hes been off a bit more, and hes striking out a whole lot more.
  5. Im putting money on Cubs beating Sales tomorrow, they were supposed to have a better chance at winning yesterday and today and lose tomorrow based on pitchers facing, so im betting they knock Sales out of game by the 5th inning 😅😅
  6. Right..lol We're talking about next season and extension, and one person had to come in and defend Happ because I said his play this season hasn't earned him an extension so far. 😅
  7. Whatever, if youre happy with a guy hitting 220s cause hes scattering solo shots here and there then so be it. Guy is 10 for his last 55 with 2 HRs and 25Ks He hasn't been very good and doesn't deserve an extension right now as I said in original post
  8. Right, I said he hasn't done much this season to give them a reason to extend him. What he has done previous years shouldn't matter going forward if you're going to consider extending someone that entering his age 33 year because it more likely his best years are behind him.
  9. Good thing theyre not hitting inTexas anymore 🙄🙄🙄
  10. Not diminishing it but that mostly due to the 9 homeruns, other than that what he done? He has a 32% K rate
  11. He got 7 and theyre not depleted, just not very talented
  12. You're extending him for what hes done in the past and not considering if he has a bad year this year? I'd hope Hoyer looks at his production or lack of before considering to extend him or not, not what hes done previous years. He's gonna be 33 next season, his better years are likely behind him now
  13. Does Counsell not like bringing his relievers in for a clean inning, so many times he leaves a guy in with a high pitch count and they give up 1 or 2 baserunners before being pulled
  14. Damn, went to bathroom come back and there's 2 outs already..lol 6 frickn pitches
  15. Agree.. as of now, if they keep one itll probably be Suzuki, Happ has his moments but overall he hasn't given much of a reason to extend him.
  16. Crazy to see them with 27 wins when they have 6 regulars barely hitting
  17. Outside of pitching, I think Hoyer might look for a bat. Mo Ballesteros been good but he a rookie and if he doesn't rebound from this current cold spell soon they're going to need to look into adding a bat
  18. They gotta get something against this guy this inning, theyve seen enough pitches
  19. Kid thrown 80 pitches in 4 innings and theyve done nothing
