  1. It took Ricketts a day and forever to bring Sosa back, let just hope they've been aware of what Russell been doing to better himself as a human. Glancing at his Instagram just now, he has current photos of himself with wife and their 2 kids.
  2. Or Ross.... There's a couple guys im surprise aren't on list, maybe they just had other commitments. Wonder if Ross is sore about being fired 😏
  3. Exactly, he did a scumbag thing but we dont know what hes been doing the last 7 years to help better himself as a person and how things are going now between him and his Ex and son. It could just be a one time thing with the organization where he only participate in a 2016 team reunion and yes he was a huge part of that postseason run getting some big hits, especially in game 5 NLCS and Game 6 World Series.
  4. I was just saying between the two i would prefer offering Bichette the years and it would cost less overall, and Bichette also 4 years younger. If they can get Bichette for 4 years that would be awesome too, if he wants to test FA again.
  5. He hasn't accepted Boston 6/170 offer yet, so One would think Bregman looking for at least 180 with the 6 years, id be shocked if Ricketts allows Hoyer to offer a 32 yo 6 yrs and 180. They could probably get Bichette with a 6 year offer well under 180, and hes 28. It would be nice to know how close to 244 theyre going or if theyre actually going over. Bichette and someone like Tauchman would be good if they plan on staying under, and have approximately 35 to spend.
  6. Gotcha, yea i dream sometimes, just dont post it much lol Yea I've suggested trading Happ and Suzuki because I dont think either will be extended and figure why not try and get something of value for them over just letting them walk, and just play Caissie or Mo in their place. it not cause I think they'd automatically be just as good or better right off the bat.
  7. I dont think they'd do it, just saying they can if Ricketts would allow Hoyer to go over, but we know it wont happen.
  8. First, what i wish they'd do and think theyll do are two different things. Second, I dont ever recall saying bring up random prospects because theyll automatically be as good as Happ and Suzuki. You'll have to show me that post if you want a reason why I posted that if I did. Third, obviously we know it wouldn't happen, theres alot of stuff on here being posted that we all know wont happen, that why I said if Ricketts would and they could get two of them, not that they will or should. we can wish for something to happen but likely wont, like Ricketts opening up his wallet and do something that not overly crazy, or make actual suggestions of what they might do.
  9. Cubs have a golden opportunity to really make a splash now if only Ricketts allows Hoyer to go over the Threshold this season and it doesn't even need to be crazy. They can easily grab Bichette and Tucker/Bellinger which would totally upgrade 2 positions and really solidify the offense for maybe just under 60 total and payroll would be under 275. What a lineup that would be
  10. Was looking to see an update for how much the Cubs have to spend if they stay under, and noticed theyre still paying Bellinger 2.5 mil 😅 Ricketts probably telling Hoyer any offers made to Cody you make sure that 2.5 gets taken off lol
  11. Cubs 2027 Rotation could have 4 guys under 20 mil combined. Cabrera Arb Steele Arb Horton Wiggins You think Ricketts might be able to put a TOR type starter in his SP budget next offseason 😅
  12. Steele and Cubs avoid Arb and agree on 1 yr 6.77 mil
  13. Caissie and Wiggins might gets you Skenes not Cabrera
  14. Ehhh, that the writer's opinion, WF could be ass or friendly at any given time because of the wind, who to say this year it wont be better. If the Cubs offer a better contract then any other good team, im sure hed consider returning.
  15. They do and im hoping for Bichette, just saying if they don't get him or the other 3, they could get one of them and another utility guy. Bichette and Tucker are my 1 and 2 choices
  16. Hey if all else fails and they dont land one of the 4 big bats, they can always get Bader 👀 Or bring back Tauchman.
  17. I think this could be Hoyers plan A right now as they do need a RFer which would allow them to keep Suzuki as DH and ease Mo into it all, and also allow them to keep him in Iowa and work on his catching. Bichette is probably plan B and maybe they work with Shaw in the OF to give him/them a little more flexibility. I think Bregman looking for at least 30 mil which would be too much for the Cubs if the plan is to stay under the Threshold. I just dont see Bellinger wanting to return unless of course the price is right and like Bregman, I dont see the Cubs offering more than 25 to anyone unless they go over the Threshold.
  18. Yea i forgot about Wicks and Brown, they're pretty setup with pitching depth now.
  19. Depends on if theres a budget and what it is. If they sit at around 215 now in payroll and Hoyer needs to stay under the Threshold that leaves them with approx. 28, plus then who knows if and how much he wants to save for that in season moves. So are any of these guys willing to take 20 or less, probably not. Maybe they trade Rea and open up another 5 mil. and they can offer someone up to 25.
  20. True, and that why having both Rea and Assad in the pen could be very helpful with not only being available to spot start but also eat up innings if they need to pull these starters early. Steele return will allow them to give the rotation an extra day off and the possibility of going to a 6 man. Having a kid like Wiggins waiting in the wing is always a plus. A poster mentioned above about concerns with health for the playoffs, if they get that far and theres no serious setbacks with any of these starters throughout the season, having 9 starters ( Steele Rea Assad Wiggins) on the team will go a long way with keeping them fresh and allow them to skip starts here and there especially in September if they're way ahead in the standings.
  21. Man, I think im gonna give up on my can't wait to see this kid come up love..lol Jimenez Torres B.Davis Marquez Mervis Caissie Hernandez 😏😏😏
  22. Reminds me of last year, dealing the top prospect for a low cost stud in return, at least they get 3 years of Cabrera over just the one for Tucker, but that cost 2 big prospects over one. Gotta go get a big bat now, otherwise it a big ask for 2 young players in Mo and Shaw to be productive everyday players as the DH and 3Bmen where you'd like to get some big production from. I do like having Assad and Rea in the pen now, that 2 guys who can give them 3+ innings if needed.
  23. If Bob says it, then it not true.. He couldn't even spell his name right Lol
