  1. Hope so, id like to see them go into the Brewers series no worse then 2 back..
  2. Let go.. put a big crooked number on the board and turn this game into a rout
  3. Yea, this isn't a rotation to get excited about..
  4. I think he'll move on, especially since they told him they're not gonna extend him. I could be wrong but I think he'll be back pitching again this year, so he'll still have a couple starts to show himself and decide to not pick up his options. A team may be interested in giving him a 3-4 yr deal at 20 per, at 32, he looking more for extended years then upping the yearly amount, I would think.
  5. They can always trade him or tell him they're gonna trade him and give him the option to decline the option and become a FA. I'm not saying sign a guy via FA, I don't even think there a TOR type available this offseason, im just saying IF one comes available to trade for like Darvish was, they could/should try and make that deal.
  6. Would rather use the money that it'll cost to get him even just for him to hit, and who knows if or how much the surgery will have an affect on that next season, on bringing back Bellinger, Candelario, etc.
  7. Ohtani having TJ surgery, so I'd prefer the cubs to spend that money elsewhere. Bellinger, Candelario, and trade for a true number one would be ideal for me. I'm hoping Assad stays and shows he belongs in the rotation, this way they'll have Steele, Taillon, and Assad inked in, go get a true no.1, and then have a ST battle for the no.5 spot with the ready prospects. Smyly can go to the pen or see if they can move him in offseason. Alonso would be fine if they can extend him right away, especially if it gonna cost a couple good prospects, otherwise I'd wait til next offseason and see what the $$$ will be. If they get Alonso and PCA comes up and sticks, Belli can always move to a corner spot. I don't think Hoyer planning on keeping either Happ or Suzuki pass their contract.
  8. I could be wrong but I think he could be a guy that benefits more after a day off over being used on consecutive (3+) days
  9. As of now Smyly is scheduled to pitch Sunday, im guessing he'll start it and then will be in the pen after the September call up
  10. What makes it worse is that the Brewers are now beating first place teams
  11. Who actually thought the pitching would be solid ?? It was Stroman, and Steele .. Wesneski was a question mark, Taillon and Smyly weren't anything to be excited about and Hendricks was coming off an injury and nobody knew what he was gonna do. The bullpen had potential with the late inning guys.
  12. He should of been released when Schwindel got released
  13. Did the cubs 3 hitters swing at every first pitch, I turned it on at 1249 and the Tigers are hitting already 😅
  14. Seems like Ross is sacrificing this game sorta to keep his main pen guys fresh for tomorrow
  15. He likely the odd man out of lineup now when or if they do bring PCA up September 1st.
  16. Is there someone in Tennessee that older(24-26) and has pitched well as of late that could get a jump for a 4-5 inning start against the Pirates ?
  17. Ugggh, that ball needed the corner for Suzuki to score.. Dang Morel
  18. Theyll need to decide something fast as far who will be their next starter cause they'll need someone for Sunday and then they have a doubleheader that Friday, so someone or two will likely be coming up.
  19. Off topic: just saw the Sox fired Williams and Hahn with Chicago sports personnel chirping for Theo to take control Off topic: just saw the Sox fired Williams and Hahn with Chicago sports personnel chirping for Theo to take control
  20. He threw 3 pitches in the 4th, they basically have Alzolay and Merryweather of the good relievers rested, so getting 3 full innings out of Wesneski would be good and somewhat needed for the pen.
  21. Gonna need Wesneski to get them through 7 tonight
