  1. Lol.. I mean, heck in 2016 we all kinda expected to see Rizzo, Bryant, Baez, Russell, Contreras, etc for another 10 years 😅
  2. In the thick of what ? They'd be out looking in over there too
  3. Yes, especially since a good part of that team were young and it only been 8 years since, plus they haven't been to the postseason the last 4.
  4. Everyone should get 1 inning tomorrow 😅
  5. Yea, but we needed more Patrick Wisdom 🙄
  6. Now that they have the most losses in an MLB season, their fans need to keep their mouths shut when it comes to the Cubs. 😅
  7. A 1 hour 50 minute game..lol These guys wanna end the season already
  8. if Hoyer trades any of these top hitting prospects, they better get players that are under contract for at least 3 years and will be a difference maker in having a deep postseason run each year. I really dont want to see these kids moved because Happ and Suzuki has no trades the next 2-3 years and along with Hoerner and Swanson being under contract, so this group of prospects that are ready are blocked and we're watching them excel for another team the next 10 years.
  9. I was told it won't happen 🤷‍♂️
  10. I prefer Assad in the bullpen and spot starter for 2025. They need a 3rd TOR type to go with Imanaga and Steele
  11. Looks like the Phillies sobered up.. 😅
  12. Don't need to see anymore of Tauchman, he a 4th outfielder.
  13. Hoyer has claimed 2 relievers off waivers today, getting that early start for next season cheap bullpen additions 😅
  14. One minute you're dancing and celebrating being in the postseason. next minute you're now a Cub and going home... 😅
  15. They could just put Happ on IL, they don't need to see Tauchman anymore, so it would only make sense to give these last 6 games to Caissie.
  16. Is he Hoyer first new cheap addition for the bullpen next season? 🙄
  17. I don't like this new rule of only 2 additional callups in September , I get not to have a bunch of callups so games stay competitive but I think they should increase it to 5, so 31 man roster. Give teams that are out of it a chance to get a look at a couple of their top young guys at the Major League level.
  18. Happ having back issues, now a good time to just IL him and bring up Caissie to finish out the season in LF
  19. Wisdom playing the last 3 days, wonder if that might of been his goodbye games with Iowa ending their season today, maybe we see some releases and callups tomorrow or Monday.
  20. Hendricks last start as a Cub will be at home next week against the Reds. Hope he gets a tremendous ovation
  21. Gotta love the September surge against teams out of race to get your hitting numbers up to respectable 😅
  22. Couple things here.. I didn't say I wanted him traded or he definitely will be, my OP was in response to a poster not liking him in the 4 hole and I just said that he could be the odd man out if Bellinger returns. As in, it may not be a situation next season. I just feel that if Hoyer wants to add a significant top line bat and does make a trade with an everyday regular to get something of value in return like a SP or a plus reliever, it'll likely be one of Happ or Suzuki, whomever would be willing to waive their NTC. Another thing, I don't care for it, but I personally feel Hoyer going to return everyone from the regulars we have seen playing everyday the last 2 months and any new additions to the offense will be to the bench. His main focus or at least we hope so will be on the bullpen and SP/depth
  23. I wasn't thinking of the NTC but it not like players with NTC hasn't waived it and agreed to being traded. All I'm saying is there's a chance that an outfielder can be traded this offseason and IMO I think it could be Suzuki or Happ despite the NTC. Bellinger 27 mil and his opt out after 2025 will likely lessen any real good return for him in a deal, especially if they're looking for pitching. They're not gonna trade Busch, who has improved and is 26 and under team control the next 5 seasons. Nico, they can but I doubt Hoyer will move him and his team friendly contract. Parades is an option Suzuki has 2 years left on his deal when he will be 31, I doubt they look to extend him. Same with Happ. If Hoyer can get them to agree to waive, he will make that deal. This is the only way they'll consider bringing in that big bat that needed in the lineup.
